My husband and I had a wonderful day out in a small group, with Warren as our guide for a tour round the rainforest and other spectacular sights.

We booked ‘Full day Daintree’.

Highlights were spotting crocodiles in Daintree River, learning about trees and plant life on the rainforest boardwalk, and of course grabbing locally made ice cream before the trip back to base!

Warren was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the natural history of Daintree, and made the whole trip really interesting and informative.

A great day for anybody interested in learning more about the rainforest - you won’t be disappointed.

Thank Gemininski

Our tours were well organized. Stayed at the Coral Tree Inn clean, quiet, easy walking distance to the waterfront and harbour. Down side, No elevator and the breakfast was $17.00per person with discount. Harbour cruise with lunch very good. Reef cruise and dive was good, a long day but worth it. The Draintree & Cape was 12 hrs but worth every minute our driver Steve was funny and very informative and never rushed anybody. We were ready for our day off by then. Next was the kuranda Scenic Train and skyrail excellent trip. The GSL Aviation flight over the reef was just fantastic. Rainforest and Waterfalls our driver Mic took us through the real back roads to view the untouched nature. Another excellent driver only three of us in the SUV.
Everything Discovery tours said they delivered. Would definitely use them again.

I went expecting Rainforest, I came away with a whole new perspective. I have to give a big "High Five" to my Tour Guide, Carsten, his knowledge on Biodiversity, Botany, and Environment was awesome and his care for the Rainforest and Wildlife inspiring.
If discovery and knowledge is your thing then put this on your Bucket List.

What a GREAT way to spend the day in the Cairns, Australia area! We were picked up at our hotel by Jean (John) and were taken on a fabulous tour of the area. Jean was a VERY GOOD guide who was very experienced in the area and all of the plants and critters that we saw. During our ride in a boat up the river we met up with a Saltwater Crocodile - Nate. We visited the rain forest, beaches, beautiful sightseeing areas and were educated on some of the wild plants growing in the forest - one of particular interest was called the Suicide Plant due to the pain that it causes if you touch it. Look it up. We stopped for tea in the morning at the entrance to the nature walk where we saw a lot of activity. We had a spectacular lunch at an out of the way restaurant where kangaroo was on the menu. Try it, it was VERY good. We went to the rain forest and walked around and ended the day with an ice cream cone before taking the ferry back across the croc infested river. What a trip! Jean, our guide, was OUTSTANDING!

This morning we took a half day forest and waterfalls 4wd tour. Our guide, Warren, picked us up from our hotel on time. We were the only couple on the trip. The vehicle was comfortable and Warren very knowledgeable about everything we saw. He even brought out tea and biscuits at one of the stops. We had an amazing trip seeing sights, both on regular roads and off road, that we could not have seen on our own. All in all a wonderful morning.

Steve was our guide-friendly, humorous, and most importantly, very knowledgable about history, native culture, plants, and animals. Understand that it's 2.5 hour drive from Cairns to Cape Tribulation (one way, without stops), so you aren't going to get a lot of time at any one spot. But they know the best spots to stop, including Flagstaff hill overlooking Port Douglas, tea at Mossman Gorge (and a swim afterward-refreshing!), lunch at Mossman Tea House (easily a $25-30 meal anywhere, choices of barramundi, kangaroo, chicken, vegetarian, and tropical fruits galore). Then up Daintree river on short croc viewing boat trip, and on to Cape Tribulation. Sunset views of coast as you return. Got back to Cairns about 6:45. Long day, but very much worth it.

We booked at the last minute, as we were arriving late the night before and didnt want to drive on the first day. We were picked up in a van with about 12 others and taken first for a view near Port Douglas, then tea and scones at Mossman. A short hike and swim at Mossman Gorge then on to Daintree for lunch and tropical fruit presentation (included) and then a boat ride looking for crocs. We saw a few, but it was quiet. Finally to Cape Tribulation for another short walk to where the reef meets the rainforest then the long drive home, including a car ferry.

Our driver / guide was great, decent price, everything was just slightly underwhelming. We've seen lots of animals and rainforests before and while it was a comprehensive tour, we would have preferred more walking - we should probably have stuck to Mossman Gorge. Most of the group were older than us. It's a long day, it's a long way, and felt a little rushed for a day trip, but if that's all the time you've got, then it probably was as good as you could get.

We had Jean looking after us today and he was very knowledgable. He made the day very interesting and we got to see some fantastic sites. Mossman gorge was great although a little cold in the water. The lunch stop was great and we had a good explanation of all the local fruits and vegetables. We then did the river cruise and got to see a few crocs before going to cape tribulation via a few lookouts. All topped off by some really nice ice cream on the way back. Thanks again to Jean and discovery tours Australia for a great day out.

Steve, our terrific guide gave us a grand tour. He was an outstanding driver and shared
great deal of interesting information on the beautiful areas we visited. Stops were made at convenient times, one for tea and scones, then for a delicious lunch and the last for optional ice cream. Steve handled an awkward situation in a very professional manner. A first class and well planned tour.

Warren our tour guide from Discovery Tours was outstanding. His passion and information sharing ensured our family went away telling others just how rare and wonderful this part of the world is. All scheduled activities were on time but we never felt rushed. A small bag including, swimmers, hat and wet weather gear is a must.
