Spent the whole day on the Island and on a Whale Watch Cruise, and was not disappointed. Tangalooma is a great place to enjoy, but the tour to watch the wales was excellent.
Saw so many, even some water breaching that at the end of the day you almost go "oh yeah, just one more whale".

The staff is great so that they managed to have very close encounters with the whales, about 5 o 10 meters away, but with the greatest respects for the animals, going very slowly no to disturb or hurt them.

Do not miss the Kookaburra feeding after five o'clock (performed by a trained ranger), do not miss the briefing about the dolphins feeding and the actual feeding of the dolphins.

My sole concern is that they night have made the dolphins wait a bit too long to access the food.

Excellent day trip. Full day of adventure. Caught the 7 am ferry. Coffee at the cafe then a leisurely walk to the wrecks and back. Another coffee then time to board the boat for a light lunch and whale watching cruise. Plenty of whales this afternoon and numerous photos. This time a walk down the beach to the south then time for viewing of the dolphin feed and a trip home across the bay. The Queensland weather was at its best today as well. Great value for money.

We had 3 awesome days and 2 nights here and all I can say is WOW.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Our villa, although oldish, was well maintained. We had spectacular views from our balconies right across from the beach. For a resort we were pleasantly surprised that the prices for food and alcohol were reasonable. Beautiful sunsets capped off our full days of exploring and activities.
We're already planning our next stay.
Thanks for the memories

I'm not sure if we were just lucky, but this trip was absolutely fantastic. We saw so many Whales we lost count and they were clearly enjoying showing off right next to our boat - one even waved goodbye as we left!

I'd highly recommend this trip.

I spent an enjoyable three hours with amazing views, whales and passing marine animals while listening to knowledgeable commentary. The first and last part of the cruise (approximately 50 minutes each way) involved travelling between the jetty at Tangalooma Island Resort and the ocean side of Moreton Island. Once in the open sea the cruise followed a pod of whales heading north which provided a number of photo opportunities. I never felt rushed during the cruise, with staff ensuring everyone had a great experience. The "light" lunch was much better than expected with a with half a wrap, half a sandwich, apple, cheese and crackers and a muffin provided. I took advantage of an "early bird" day package leaving Brisbane at 7am and returning at 8pm. With this package I had plenty of time as a day visitor to explore the resort before and after the whale watching cruise. The fast, large catamaran for our cruise had three decks, an enclosed air-conditioned first deck, enclosed air-conditioned lounge / canteen on second deck and the third deck was an open air viewing platform. During the trip we saw whales, dolphins, a sea turtle and various birds.
