Slightly larger than average one bed apartment with no particular view from the balcony other than onto adjoining buildings. Noise level was low for its location. Shower was over the bath. The pool was being renovated so not available in Sept 17.

Chosen for its location close to the CBD, this apartment hotel did not disappoint. From online booking to checkin everything was efficient. Our apartment with lounge, kitchenette and bedroom was comfortable – if a little on the small side. In particular the bathroom was very small. There was also a small balcony which due to the Friday night noise we did not use. The car park was easy to access, staff friendly and efficient. For an overnight stay, this suited our purpose. Next time, I would ask for a room higher up.

Room Tip: Higher up might escape the noise

Looking for a getaway to celebrate my Wife's birthday and we were extremely satisfied with The Sebel Brisbane. The location is perfect for my wife to go shopping at Queen St mall and the accommodation very comfortable to come back and truly relax. The restaurant is good and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We will be coming back to stay here again and can recommend to anyone looking to stay in Brisbane.

Ok, I have planned this a few months ago, something special for my wife's 50th Birthday. We decided to go and see the CIRQUE DU SOLEIL and afterwards a visit to the Brisbane Octoberfest.

About the Sebel Hotel, it looked better online that in reality, a common fact in Hospitality.

First impressions, it smelled good as soon you enter the door going to the reception. The staff member was friendly and we had a hassle free check in.
Arriving on the 11th floor, it still had a pleasant smell.
Our room was good but looked a bit dull with 70's or 80's style of lightening and so was the studio. Frankly it could do with a facelift, add some colour...The bed however was very good and probably the most important part for a good night sleep. The bathroom was clean but on the small side. There was no shampoo, only conditioner. Eye for detail guys...
I booked the room with Breakfast for another little treat.
On arrival in the morning the friendly waiter checked us quickly in and asked if we want a coffee and they both arrived soon and where good. I had to ask for sugar as non were available.
It took some time for the cooked breakfast to arrive, the place was pretty packed and busy. The Cafe is quite small so the "Buffet" section had not much to offer hoping that the ordered food would be nice. Chatting to the people next to us I have noticed that their food looked OK. By the time ours arrived my eggs Benedict were fully cooked, they could have given me hard boiled eggs instead...the bread under the eggs was also quite difficult to cut. I suggest that a manager should give it a random try to see notice facts. Asking for another coffee, that was an extra charge as only one was included in the package. I have found that quite skimpy.
At the end, nobody asked how the service was either in the cafe or during check out...they did not care too much. These elements could all be improved. Maybe they know and therefore did not ask?
There were no Guest feedback forms available. I would have completed one for them directly if it was available. Giving them the important feedback they need to run a great operation.

I have worked in Hospitality all my life and have experienced it all, good and bad and have enough knowledge how it all works.

Overall experience at The Brisbane Sebel was disappointing.

We are very disappointed to read of your negative experience in the hotel restaurant. Please allow us to offer our sincere apologies. At your earliest convenience, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your breakfast further with you. If you could please call the hotel and request to speak to Gary. Many thanks.
