When it comes to seafood restaurants there are very few that I would give the tick of approval.

George's Paragon is no different as when you are paying towards top dollar you want an exceptional meal but it just doesn't quite hit the mark.

It's not a terrible dining experience but soon enough you will realise you are paying for the view.

Those CBD rents can be extremely high along with the challenges of finding good staff but in this day and age I wonder how a restaurant that doesn't continually try to lift the bar actually manage to survive.

I guess it could come down to the loyal customers who have been frequenting for 10+ years who just don't know anything different...

I can't remember what the food was like as the service was so poor. As soon as we were seated we were asked to place an order, I asked for a little more time, and the waiter asked exactly how much time I needed as they were quite busy! That put a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the night. Then we had to wait quite a long time for food, we were supposed to be "in and out" in an allotted time but that was quite impossible with the wait time on the food. Not a relaxing meal at all!

Visited Brisbane, eagle street pier site, fantastic, food 10/10, price 10/10, service 20/10, will visit again and again, menu will take many visits to work through though! Can't wait

The location is fantastic, the food and service in the restaurant are exceptional, prices are very affordable and the seafood beautifully fresh highly recommended, if you can take advantage of the dine early option the menu is half price

We enjoyed the most succulent lobster and bugs with scrummy desserts.
All staff were most attentive and Sunny took care of our table extremely well.
The river views were just wonderful.
