Good restaurant overlooking the Brisbane river. Great ambiance. Food is great, though felt a bit overpriced. The Sake is brilliant and is a must try!

My husband, myself and my 2 children (3 and 6) went there tonight for dinner after a big day at Seaworld. We arrived at 6.30pm and were lucky to get a table without a booking.
We live in Melbourne, so we have high standards when it comes to dining, probably because we are so spoilt!
My husband has rated this as the best Japanese food he has ever had!
Beautiful restaurant - has a great, relaxing and sophisticated ambience.
The cocktails are excellent and the staff are amazing - you can't fault them. The food was also amazing. There was a tiny bit of a wait between our 2 courses, but the staff were very apologetic about it. If we were there without our kids, we wouldn't have cared less. We were just in a rush to get home
I'm not sure how to compare the prices to Brisbane restaurants - but to Melbourne, its not too expensive. Its probably high end dining in Brissie, but worth it
I would go back - absolutely - and look forward to, when I am next here....

Brilliant food and excellent service. Wine was over priced but we had an enjoyable evening. The whole place had a great vibe and the service was far better than anywhere else

We ate here before England's historic win over the Wallabies in June 2016. The restaurant was packed out, but they still managed to squeeze us in at the bar. Really enjoyed the taster menu, 6 or 7 courses with sake and japanese lager. Totally fascinated by watching the chefs work. Our desserts were prepared right there in front of us. Would love to return. If I wanted to find a fault, I'd say the service was a tiny bit slow, but given how busy the place was, I really am nit-picking with that.

Had such a disappointing experience when we dined here last month. Visiting for fairly light dinner its menu seemed to be perfect for us in terms of some of the sharing style food that we could enjoy over drink.

Other than its price, I cannot really argue with the food - it was nice enough - however everything else about the place was severely lacking.

Despite having a very upmarket decor inside the restaurant, the staff were a stark contrast and looked out of place dressed like they were in a family manga-themed restaurant as Ninja Turtles, Samurai etc. Whether it was because of the uniforms or something else, many of them looked like they didn't want to be there.

Our waiter was immediately with us and briefly talked through the menu so we ordered drinks (beer and sparkling water) and a small starter while deciding our mains. Both arrived in a matter minutes. At this point we'd barely had an opportunity to remove our jackets!

The dish was smaller than anticipated so we finished it quite quickly and within seconds the waiter was back asking for our main order. Only at this point when ordering the "signature dish" - toothfish - we were advised it had sold out. Quite why this hadn't been explained when we were shown the menu I don't know.

Instead we ordered 4/5 smaller sized dishes to share, anticipating they would take time and be brought to us over a period of time. However despite the restaurant being packed (we had to sit on a communal table as the only space available) again, all the dishes were brought to us in a matter of minutes of ordering - all at once! It must be one lightning fast chef they have here!

Again, these meals were finished fairly quickly so we finished up our drinks and left - literally less than 25 minutes after first arriving! Considering the cost we paid - well over $140 for 2 people - we'd have received much better value, and arguably similar standard of food, just going to a Japanese takeaway.
