Thanks to Grace & David for their hospitality. We really needed some R&R,we were very spoilt in the Pavilion with wonderful fresh fruit platters daily.Naracoopa is close to the great boardwalk along the beach,& many local eateries. We have stayed in a lot of 5star hotels around the world, they don't compare to the privacy, comfort or service we received whilst staying at Naracoopa.
Our stay was 6 days....& we weren't in a hurray to go home.Again thank you ...

We stayed in the Pavillion, a self contained unit out the back. It was lovely. Comfy bed. Full kitchen. Hosts were lovely. Being self contained they left us to ourselves which is what we wanted. Recommend highly.

Our hosts were delightful, the accommodation was spotlessly clean, decor delightful and the bed was incredibly comfortable. All the additional little touches were very evident - nothing was missing - down to the welcoming port and chocolates. We couldn't do justice to the superb breakfast with a selection of fresh fruit and freshly baked bread and jams. With only a 30 minute train trip into the city this was a perfect location away from the hustle and bustle. Local restaurants (best fish and chips) were within easy walking distance. This is truly a delightful heritage area displaying some of Queensland's best 'Old Queenslander' homes.

We visited Naracoopa in July for a two day workshop on setting up and running a B&B. I cannot tell you how much usefull knowledge and skill were packed into these two days - and in such pleasant, relaxed surroundings as to be almost effortless osmosis (and we came away with workbooks stuffed with valuable information).
The historic home is wonderfully and warmly decorated by the paintings and textiles of the owners - both artists and teachers (along with their very considerable skills as B&B hosts).
If you just want a pleasant stay at this delightfully old world seaside village or if you hanker to start your own B&B, this is the place - from the cosy open fire to the wide and welcoming verandahs, you will feel wraped in a cucoon of comfort, kindness, and good will.

This was such a change to my bad experiences at the 'Airport' hotel strip.
Its only 30 minutes drive from Shorecliff to the airport, and I left a 8am on a weekday on the Gateway
From now on I will be staying at this B&B not in the horrible airport hotel strip.
Dinner at the pub around the corner was good, and if you like running this is a great place as the foreshore walkway is at least 10km return with no roads to cross. Grace also did a great & healthy breakfast.
All this cheaper than staying in the 'strip'. Its a no brainer really
