As an airport hotel you’d hope for a modicum of sound proofing, alas this hotel doesn’t. Being woken by the constant chatter of other residents walking pas was not fun. The addition of the occasional aircraft sounding like it was taking off in your room added extra spice to this dismal experience.

For anyone wishing for more than a very basic room without excessive noise pollution I would recommend you seek an alternative venue.

Upfront, check what level room you are given. We thought we had booked a Queen but were given a "Compact" (we'd stayed before so we knew what a "Queen" was). The "Compact" is tiny with a ridiculous "outdoor smoking nook" (which is far from mosquito proof) taking up much of the minimal space. Room itself (in "Rapid Creek" wing) was spotlessly clean and modern with a great shower but there is no power point for the jug unless you unplug the fridge and no switch for the fluoro over the bathroom basin. No safe or luggage rack. And the Mercure is not inexpensive.
The plus was the restaurant ("Cossies") overlooking the beautiful pool (which we used) where we had 2 excellent dinners - fresh quality food and reasonably priced drinks. Overall we would recommend.

Room tip: Make sure you know what level room you are booking.

So much promise. Check in was painful as I took the option of checking in online and this was confirmed... then was made to check in all over again in the middle of the night. Room was average, very dated and basic, and there was dried blood in the bath tub. I booked and paid for the room with breakfast included, only to be told at breakfast that it wasn't the case unless I was a high level member. One of the worst unfortunately.

Great pool, good location if visiting family that side of town. Great beaky if your into buffet food, feels like you are staying in Bali with the beautiful gardens and Balinese settings. Would stay again next time we visit when the footy is on.

In fir just overnight. Off the aircraft at 2000 hrs walked to the hotel, thought a drink and something to eat before retiring. Unfortunately no room service, bistro closed by 2100 hrs. Essentially no delivery services out here so no feed.
Room clean and adequate. Tea, coffee nothing else.
Tv remote had a flat battery! Fixed by staff.
I’ll look elsewhere in future.
Budget accomodation asking for hotel price.
Not good enough.
