Delicious food, great service and wonderful location. My friend had the laksa, which she said was one of the best she has ever eaten, and looked and smelt amazing! I had the grilled chicken bun vermicelli bowl which was very tasty. The service was wonderful - fast, efficient, polite and they really pushed the local ales and brews which I thought was a great thing to do. Overall very enjoyable evening and would definitely recommend to others

I came here with a friend for a late dinner after a movie at the deckchair cinema.

We chose to dine here as we had limited time before venues started to close for the night. Both of us had tried chow before and weren't impressed (had the laksa and nasi goreng and both found the dishes very bland) but decided to give the place another go.

We got the salmon and pork belly clay pot and the chicken and Chinese sausage hotpot.

The salmon in the clay pot was in two big pieces and they were so hard and over cooked, they weren't eaten. The pork belly was very minimal and there wasn't much sauce at all.

The hotpot was totally flavourless, it tastes like chicken stock thickened with corn flour. There was just no depth of flavour and was very disappointing. The chicken tasted like it had been boiled in mass quantities and was just thrown in there at the end. A little caramelisation of the chicken or something may have improved the flavour. I left all of the chicken.

The staff seemed like they were ready to go home and were more interested in standing talking instead of serving us. They were quite snappy and abrupt.

We were asked how our dishes were at the end of our meal, we expressed our dissatisfaction and the girl said she'd let the chef know.

We went to pay and another girl asked how our meals were, we told her and her reply was 'oh, OK...'

Another member of staff appeared after we had paid and asked about our concerns, we let her know and she was shocked and asked how my friend had ate her salmon, and if she'd ate it with the sauce because that helps with the consistency of the salmon... Unfortunately overcooked salmon is tough and unpleasant, no amount of sauce is going to fix that...

Pretty disappointing to provide feedback and to be told that was uncommon... Maybe people are just too shy to say what they really thought of the meals.

We gave this place another go, but definitely will not return and will advise friends and family to try somewhere else.

We stopped by here for lunch and were not disappointed. It is advertised as South East Asian but it does look more Vietnamese than anything else.

It is in the Waterfront development but furtherest away, it is however a pleasant place to sit. We both ordered laksas with a serve of traditional spring rolls to share. Everything was delicious and the laksa was just hot enough and very tasty. Service was excellent too.

Was searching for something a little different for our last night in Darwin. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options for food on the waterfront, restaurant style anyway, but this little gem is worth the visit. Friendly staff, prompt service, and more importantly, great wine. I had the Pork Balls for starters and the Vietnamese Chicken Curry for mains, which was delicious. The only negative is we felt rather rushed towards the end as we were finishing our drinks.

Situated at the Darwin Waterfront complex, Chow is a great place for cocktails and delicious Asian cuisine. Seating arrangements are spacious - not squeezed into the area - outdoor and indoor options available. Went on a Saturday night for a work function - booking made for 6.30 but they booked us for 7.30 - not an issue - moved some chairs and viola - we were good to go. Waiter attentive most of the time - offered water when seated - they make their own sparkling water. Food - fresh and filling - doggie bags to go at the end of the night. I had the Atlantic salmon fillet with pork belly in rich, salty caramel sauce - yes it was rich and salty. Others had DIY ork Pancakes, Sugar Cane Prawns and Curry - no complaints. Cocktails were a hit - Ping Pong - Ketel One Citroen Vodka, lengthened with lychee liqueur + passionfruit - refreshing in Darwin's climate.
