Loved this museum. Caught the double decker bus that picked us up an hour later (longer if you wish). Particularly wanted to see the cyclone Tracy area and it did not disappoint. Also saw the sweetheart crocodile (interesting story on video) and viewed turtles outside in pond. And it’s all free!

The part I most liked about the museum is the section dedicated to the cyclone Tracy. It is heartbreaking and very emotional.

Local animal display room very well put together. Cyclone Tracy exhibit was very good. Showed the devastation in graphic detail.
Local student HSC art exhibit was excellent.
Wheelchair access was fine throughout.

We were fascinated by this Telstra exhibition... But the other sections are also well worth the visit. The cyclone Tracy sound booth made me shiver...
We also liked sitting on the cafeteria terrace.

Had a very enjoyable visit here. Took just under 2 hours to look through about 6 or 7 very different displays. All of them were well presented. This was the most relaxed and enjoyable representation of Aboriginal art, NT history and modern works I could of asked for. GREAT.
