Lovely location, tired accommodation.

Lovely location with tired and dated accommodation .

We loved the view from our room, and I loved the proximity to Bass in the Grass.

The TV in our room was faulty the picture faded to a black patch in the LH corner, it wasn’t replaced during our 5 night stay.

There was no sound on the F1 channel which for us was worse than not having the channel at all. The apparent reason for this was our room didn’t actually have Foxtel which I think is either strange or a massive mistake on the Resort’s behalf as the rooms aren’t cheap.

All in all the room entertainment and room service options were limited no doubt as the Resort wants you out of your room on the Casino gaming floor or associated restaurant.

THE ONLY place to stay in Darwin, NT, is here.

This is our second visit; resort has been upgraded in parts; impressed by ongoing work to improve the guest experience even further.

Wonderful amenities, hospitable staff, and views to remember for life.

Room tip: Pool area is usually quiet all morning. Easy to choose your favorite lounger. But becomes busy from midday.

The high-ish rating isn’t necessarily saying that we would recommend the hotel, but there was nothing ‘wrong’ with it if you aren’t choosy about décor. Rather, it was just that the section we stayed in very much shows its ‘era’ and age. We would have stayed in a resort room rather than a hotel room had we had the option, but unfortunately the lagoon pool was under maintenance during our stay so the resort rooms were not bookable. Let’s hope we can stay in the resort section in future. That said, the one-bedroom ocean view suite in the hotel section was pretty good value for the large amount of space you get but we did feel like we’d been transported back to a 1980s business hotel. Clean, but dated. The view from the balcony was great, the bed was very comfy, the inclusion of a coffee machine was good, the receptionist was very welcoming and the delivery of an icebucket was swift! So, other than our personal dislike for the dated décor, as I say, there was nothing particularly ‘wrong’. Well, I suppose we did find one thing wrong; at least VERY annoying anyway: we left some belongings in the shower and they were discarded by housekeeping. We rang well within 24 hours of leaving, as soon as we realised, and we were told no items had been logged as found in the room, which of course is not true! We respect the fact that the hotel might discard items after a period of time but not that quickly. Also, just because the items were not, say, clothing or jewellery or mobile phones etc, we don’t think it is the hotel’s right to decide what can be tossed or considered rubbish and what should be held. The products we accidentally left behind were very specific to us and had value and have taken time to replace, so it was extremely frustrating. Also, the absurdly long-winded phone call to get to speak to anyone about the issue, after circulating around through many ‘departments’, only exacerbated the annoyance.

Not a 5 star resort. So glad it’s the wet season and didn’t have to pay the exorbitant dry season price for a very basic room, with no mini- bar, terrible coffee and with baby cockroaches in the bathroom.
Pool area great though and thankful for late checkout.

We had a lovely upgraded room with a bottle of champagne on our arrival. It was our 32nd wedding anniversary, so that was a very sweet gesture. I had requested a 'quiet' room because we are bush residents and are quite sensitive to 'urban' noise LOL. The room was wonderfully quiet. We booked into Dragon Court for dinner which was lovely, the food is very good. Found the included breakfast a bit odd, chose off a menu and apparently it did not include the coffee and we had to pay for our two coffees. Although tea (bags) was included. Would have preferred a buffet type, but that is just my preference. I think I remember the breakfast prepaid was like $29 each. So, really coffee should have been included.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights and it did not disappoint!
The service here is amazing. We had a early tour to Lichfield Park and arrived a bit too late for breakfast but the staff were lovely enough to put it in take away boxes along with bottled water, juices and even some beach towels.
The food is great and the lagoon pool for guest only made it feel like you were in Bali with a beach and swim up bar.
The infinity pool had an incredible view for sunrises and sunsets. The pool gets very busy during dry season so would recommended snagging a beach chair prior the public going there for the beach day club.
Beds are super comfy too.
Only faults were the construction work above our room starting at 7am - would have been nice to have pre warning and the the fact they charge extra for a barrista made coffee which you would expect to be included in the price per night.
Will definitely being coming back here when we are back in darwin
