“Tropical Paradise away from home - can't wait to get back”
Reviewed 31 July 2011

We have just returned from a wonderful 10 day stay at Orchids at Nightcliff - would recommend this B & B to anyone planning a holiday in Darwin. From our initial enquiry/booking to the time when we finished our holiday there, Angela (our host) treated us like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble.
The location is superb - in a quiet suburb about 10 mins out of Darwin CBD, close to shops, bus, walks & cycle paths along the foreshore, restaurants, clubs & each Sunday morning a popular market is held nearby. Handy to use as a base - it's a short drive from the airport and to a lot of tourist attractions & Angela has a wealth of local information. The property has off road parking. There are 2 units with their own separate entry - we stayed in the immaculate, comfortable & spacious, well appointed, airconditioned (plus fans) double storey apartment which also had a large upstairs balcony (including a day bed) overlooking the pool & tropical gardens (Bali themed). Every morning a delicious breakfast was served on the deck outside our apartment next to the pool. It was very easy to relax with a book, watching tv or a dvd, enjoying a drink, having a swim, listening to music or hearing the birds chirping.
You can be as busy as you want or just chill out. We loved it and can't wait to come back. Will definitely stay here again.
