I arranged a private tour, I've been on many jumping croc tours with all the companies, and have to say spectacular could be better. First it was a private tour, only myself and three friends. The guide was not engaging, if a company agrees to private touring there should always be some level of engagement with the guest to find out what my interests were. Second the narrative was made up, crocs don't live 250 years, female crocs don't scour the rivers finding a mate, and lastly they don't hold there breath for up to 6 hours. The narrative was made up. Also the guide herself was not very friendly, a bit arrogant. Although at the end of the tour I got what I wanted to see.....crocs, it could of been a much better tour if the guide understood the different dynamics of private touring.

“Jumping Croc's, you have to do it!!!”
Reviewed 3 March 2017

This is one of the best Darwin experiences.

You have to do it, these prehistoric apex predators are magnificent to watch and don't forget they are watching you.

Its not the one you see that is the problem, its the one you don't see. The tour guide was great, named all the crocs, did a great job getting everyone a good pic (both sides of the boat).

The staff were informative and able to give you an insight into the life cycles, hunting zones and battles these crocs have. Breeding time and the babies were about and trying to avoid becoming a meal.

Recommend this to anyone going to Darwin.

“Enormous salties on the Adelaide River”
Reviewed 2 March 2017

Salties jumping out of the water to get food of a hook. Fantastic to see the enormous power of these creatures up close. They have roamed the surface of the planet between 6 and 12 million years ago. Males can reach sizes up to 7 m. And the comments of the captain added both wisdom and some twisted humour to the ferocious scramble for food. Recommended.
