I really enjoyed this trip and Adam was great!Adam's knowledge of the area helped make the experience fun and exciting. The walk isn't bad but would recommend wearing decent pair of trainers as it is rocky. The pools were amazing, Adam turns into a professional photographer and helps take pictures that capture the moment. We had a bonus surprise when we saw dolphins! Great trip and would highly recommend. Thanks Adam : )

Me and two friends booked a trip to the figure 8 pools. We originally wanted to go in October, but it got cancelled due to the weather. The staff reached out to us and we could easily reschedule our trip. We got great information, not only about the pools, but also while heading there about Sydney and good places to visit. Overall the staff was well trained, professional, nice and chatty. We didnt have great weather which was good for the hike to the pools, but we didnt really get good photos. Overall going with barefoot downunder was a great decision, however I wouldnt recommend going to the figure eight pools in general as they weren't that special to me nor my friends. But if you plan on going there, going with barefoot downunder is a very good idea!

Hi Escape,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, it's a shame about the weather on the day however this can effect the photos. Our adventure is more about the whole day experience and not just the Figure 8 Pools as we take you to other places and do explore the Royal National Park.

Cheers

Adam

An unforgettable hike through the forest, beach, and ocean rocks. The guides were super informative and friendly and we’re willing to answer any questions we had. Along with the hike we received an awesome lunch at another beautiful spot. This is a must for anyone who wants to explore a hidden gem within the Sydney area!

We loved our trek with Adam and Debbie from Barefoot Downunder. We had so much fun. They took great care of all their clients with a wide range of abilities. They love their jobs, and the Royal National Park and it was clear in every way they conducted themselves. If you love adventure, then you will love this tour!Grateful Texans,Liz O’Dell

I heard of this trip from an acquaintance back in LA. After doing research on the National Parks website, it looked like the weather wasn’t going to cooperate to go to the Figure 8 Pools due to the tide. I emailed Barefoot asking about it and they confirmed the tide would actually be fine so we booked through their website for 3 of us on a Wednesday. It was AMAZING! Adam was a top-notch guide through and through. He shared local history, pointed out great sights and things to do along the way, and had a great attitude during the entire day long trip. Few pointers - definitely pack snacks and A LOT of water. The hike down to the pools isn’t bad, but walking across the beach and rocks is a bit of a workout. The hike back UP is what will get you - definitely not easy and not for a beginner or someone who is out of shape. Again, bring a lot of water or bring money so you can buy some on the quick gas station stop on the way out of town. A lot of the hike is out in the open so plan for sunscreen reapplication throughout the day. If you’re even remotely considering this trip, BOOK IT! I can’t say enough how memorable it truly is. Thank you Adam!!
