On a beautiful August Sydney day, with sunshine bouncing off the domain, my wife and I had a great meal at this restaurant. The three course lunch was excellent in all aspects of taste, presentation and atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Food, wine and an outlook that was quite unique made this a wonderful experience, especially after seeing the exhibition at the art gallery. A terrific day, all round.

Came here just for some coffee and banana bread before hitting the art gallery. The staff were friendly, clean and very pleasant. The coffee was great and banana bread really good. I'd definitely visit again.

Disability friendly? Yes. Easy access to all tables and an open aera. Toilets are also on one level.

Family friendly? Definitely. You'd easily fit prams around the tables.

Parking? If you're early you can get parking at the art gallery and stroll across the road.

Try it out. Great little place to grab a coffee or some food.

There is more than one part to this place. There is a restaurant, as well as a kiosk on the side of the building. The food is pretty good. It may seem a little over priced, however, the fish and chips and pork burger were very good. Sitting outside is quite nice as well. There is people watching in the park for as long as you stay.

This is very close to the art gallery, so easy to have a coffee and a light snack before you go into the cafe. You sit outside or order a take away. The tables and chairs were a little wobbly! Coffee was fairly warm. Lots of students were using this cafe, so I gather from that that it was popular with them. Staff were friendly. However, only average overall. Do not feed the birds!!

This restaurant (more a cafe menu, but at restaurant prices) has a great location, a nice building, pleasant decor, a lovely view, but lacks everything else.

We found the food quite overpriced for what we received, named the service was somewhat bizarre. We felt like they were trying to be pleasant, whilst jot wanting us there as they seemed to be concentrating on whatever was next - perhaps the lunch rush or an event? Whatever was distracting the staff detracted from our experience as we felt like we were being somewhat ignored, although not rushed, through our meal.

The staff were quite serious and not terribly friendly, although not hostile as such. I don't know if they were perhaps understaffed or disorganized, but they seemed to be hurrying around setting up rather than looking after the customers that they already had in situ.

The food was simple, edible, unimaginative and just 'ok'. Much more like you'd expect at a cafe or bistro than in a restaurant charging city prices.

The next time we're in the gardens well walk through to Bligh street and eat at 'the Wolf' cafe/wine bar as we had lunch there & really enjoyed the more generous servings, the lower prices and more imaginative cuisine.
