What a great day out. Jimmys knowledge of cooking and history of the areas we visited was amazing. He has a passion for what he does. The smaller boutique wineries we visited where great as well. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting sydney wanting to escape the city and experience a piece of real Australia or local people wanting to expand there cooking and local knowledge and have a fantastic day out. Thanks gourmet getaways again for a great day.

We've done food tours in major cities all over the world, and it's the first thing we check out before we visit a new place. After reading the reviews I was really excited about this food tour. Unfortunately, it was fully booked on the days we wanted. Undeterred, we rescheduled our itinerary to make it on a day when Jimmy was free, and it was the wisest move we made! This tour was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip!

Jimmy is affable, down to earth, thoughtful, enterprising, creative, attentive, eminently likeable - and a FANTASTIC chef. This mobile chef on the go grazing dining concept is truly original and unique, and it's the most fun we've ever had on a food tour! The dexterous way he whips up each dish from the back of his truck is a treat to watch in itself. The wine pairings are brilliantly chosen, and the food is exquisite.

Jimmy's attention to detail and consideration for his guests extends all the way down to his provision of hand sanitizer and a mobile hand washing station before making sushi. Breakfast by the Hawkesbury river was an absolute delight. If you sign up for only one tour on your trip, you must make it this one. (Did I mention Jimmy has cooked for Hugh Jackman?) Cheers and many thanks Jimmy for an absolutely amazing time! We'll be back next time we're in town!

Jimmy picked us up from our hotel, took us to the fish markets for a gander whilst he bought supplies for the day. My Englishman was impressed by our quantity and variety so much we went back the next day. Breakfast was cooked by Jimmy and was overlooking the Hawkesbury in a lovely spot totally inhabited by bush turkeys. Next a drive through the countryside which pleased our overseas visitors. The first winery was boutique and had some lovely wines....we bought some.

Next another drive to the next winery and lunch. Wonderful wine matching with the food. Dessert at the next one, sorry I can't remember the winery names. We bought wine at each one though.

My partner was impressed by the whole tour: Jimmy friendly and professional, the wineries out of the way with tasty wines, the road tour that enabled him to see Australia and the different people met along the way.

I would do this tour again and again. Highly recommended for any overseas visitor or Australian wanting to explore.
