The hotel is a clean, very basic inn situated right off George street! The location is so convenient you can practically walk to all the restaurants and metro station nearby...

Got a cheap $99 pn deal online over Xmas got a superior room on the 5 th floor this is a step up from travel lodge ie no restaurant or breakfast but there are plenty of places nearby. Room had a kettle and fridge so you can bring your own food in ( great for mega expensive sydney) also they have a laundry for $7 ( wash and dry ) on the ground floor. Wifi is a rip off ( $10 per HOUR ) but there is a mc Donalds within 5 mins walk and you get it for free.

This is right by central station so it is easy to get around and there is a fre bus 555 from the station down to circular quay which helps to save the pennies .

Room Tip: Get a superior if possible , avoid rooms 501-504 as by a generator cupboard

This hotel is in a great location for walking to all of Sydney's attractions. It is close to pubs, restaurants and shopping. Yes, it is basic and yes, the airconditioning is intermittently annoying but the overall price and location make up for a lot. We got an $89 deal and for that price it is well worth it. I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Get a superior Queen if you want a window.

We chose Leisure Inn because of its location to Sydney Country Railway as we were taking a side trip to Sydney on our way to Canberra. The hotel had a special rate for 2 nights which we took advantage of after checking the reviews on TA first. We had to stay in a twin room as that was all that was available on the Saturday night.

The TA reviews were correct on these 2 points: our room was tiny & had no window but as we were out & about all day that fact didn't bother us; the aircon unit near the lifts in the hall was noisy but luckily we were far enough down the hall for it not to bother us.

'Craig' took our booking by 'phone, & he was extremely helpful & friendly. The other reception staff were good; our room was clean; everything bar the radio (too low) worked well; security good - doors locked after 9pm (guests have access card); few mins walk to Central Railway Station, light rail & buses; walk to restaurants.

We would stay here again but in a double room next time ( we viewed one & it was spacious with windows) - especially if we can get a 'special' rate again (ie $88 per night, min 2 nights).

We stayed here for a week and since we were so far away from home we wanted the wifi so we can skype home but firstly the staff could not properly explain the terms and how to use it. Secondly it was way to expensive when every cafe nearby offers it free with purchase and thirdly and most important it did not reach our room to which the staff just said that we then must sit and use it in the reception where we would have no privacy for our skyping.
In the wek we stayed there I ended up getting a cold and my boyfirend a sore throat because of the almost non existing air con. The second night I woke up and almost could not breathe so we opened the door to the hall trying to get just a bit more air- againg a thing which limited our privacy. Next morning we both had sore throats and were all dry in nose and mouth. We mentioned it at reception and we were told that during the night it had been shut off for some kind of maintenance but now it was on. How can the shut it of at night without warning? everyone is propably at the hotel at night and they could have suffocated us! from then they said it was working but the only air that came in felt like if a person gently blows air towards you with their mouth in small intervals and it did not feel like it was exchanging the air in the room. Because the aircon did not get any better and you do not even have the assumed luxury of opening a window my condition got worse and my cold lastede until 5 days after leaving so "thanks" for that. The whole week we were there the toilet never seem really clean and most of the tv channels did not work. At least we got clean towels and the location was good. only two of the staffmembers we encountered were friendly and the rest were rude, ignorant and patronizing when we said that we had gotten different info from others staffmembers. I would rather have stayed at one of the many backpacker places or have treated myself and my boyfriend to a nicer hotel.
