Over all I was very happy with this hotel. It was very cheap room, clean, tidy, conveniently located to kings cross (don't let the reputation put you off), KIngs cross train station, supermarkets and shops. Bed was comfy, bathroom was of good size, clean and heaps of hot water. Very friendly staff. Free internet. Laundry on roof top level with good views. I would stay here again

We stayed at Lido Suites for its closeness to St Vincents. We booked and paid for 13 nights. When hospital accommodation became available, manager Andrew could not be more helpful. He offered a refund on our remaining stay. From the beginning the staff were helpful and gave us a room in the quietest corner of the hotel and it was cleaned and made up daily by very friendly sraff. The location is convenient to everything in the area. The hotel regularly caters for many people visiting for treatment for medical services close by. We're back in late June and if we can't be accommodated in the limited hospital accommodation Lido is where we'll stay.

I booked and paid for a room here, but never actually stayed in it. The room itself was disgusting, think Russian prison.

I went to make a cup of tea, opened the kettle and saw there were maggots crawling around in there. Lovely.

At this point I left and had to pay for another hotel. Lido Suites refused to give me a refund. The manager was extremely rude.

Room tip: Just don't.

Overall, we're satisfied with our stay in Lido Suites with the nice, big room we had which was suitable for family (especially we had a baby with us). Though, there was no breakfast included in the accommodation, we can commend on the one hand the hotel's prompt housekeeping service.

Also, the hotel's location was great since it's near the train station (Kings Cross) and is surrounded by restaurants, grocery, convenience stores, etc. Though, the place (Kings Cross) is branded as a "red light district", it's really not a big deal if you stroll around the area (especially at night).

We had restful nights during our stay in this hotel.

After paying $80 for overnight parking at Kings Cross, Wilson Parking. We were informed by the parking attendant that we were able to get a parking ticket for $25 from the Hotel. No one at Lido informed us of this. After contacting a foreign receptionist who understood very little English we returned to the Hotel. The Owner was present and conducted himself with such first class arrogance and he decided to refund the portion of the overspent parking money. He stated that we should have asked for the discounted parking, but how would we ask if we do not know it was available. Great location and if run with professionalism with further renovation would be an outstanding Hotel. Due to the owners inability to respect his guest we will not return.
