Surrounded by the busy city centre nearby, this a lovely sport to unwind and relax. Particuarly nice in the early morning before 8am.

A relaxing park area in the middle of the city - the centre path is very wide and you can walk to the Anzac War Memorial on one end and the Archibald Fountain on the other end.

It's the perfect place to relax after a tiring walk around the city of Sydney. It is also a good place for the family for picnicking. Opposite is the famous St Mary's Cathedral.

As we walked around the park we were constantly surprised by its contents, the beautiful trees, well maintained flower beds, gorgeous old buildings & churches bordering the park on the other side of the road & the lovely Anzac memorial.

For me the highlight was the fountain & Kensington Gardens, so beautiful, what strikes you about Sydney is how clean it is despite the millions of visitors that pass through, every credit to people involved in maintaining it to such a high standard.

As you walk around you can’t help but be amazed at this wonderful green space in the centre of this incredible city, also you will hear some enchanting music as you wander around the park, from saxophone to violin, you’re not hearing things & it’s not piped music, you will encounter a number of talented people throughout the park playing a variety of musical instruments.

If you’re looking for the free busy tour it meets in front of the fountain every morning at 10, it’s also the same meeting point for the walking tour, look for the guys in the orange t-shirts.

This is a great place for a walk. A hidden gem in the middle of Sydney.

Plenty to see and do. Nice easy stroll and heaps of seating.

Broken in to two parts top end war memorial and bottom end near Hyde park barracks, church and law courts.
