It was quite an interesting beach, thin and narrow and stretching back into the land in a narrow inlet. Too bad they concreted both sides of the narrow beach but it does give folks an interesting place to swim.

This was a very interesting place to visit, the walk up and down the old cobbled road was definitely worth it, the village was so interesting to walk around. It gave my 11 year old a great insight into how people lived in the early part of the century.

We were there in the winter, so didn't test the water, but lots of others seemed to be swimming and learning to dive in the protected inlet. The cafe was open for a coffee and we took a short break before heading off to Coogee. You can also catch a bus from here back to Central Station, if you don't want to finish the walk.

Lazy summer days and wonderful lagoon for snorkling, plus you may be lucky and see the giant groper.

Clovelly beach is a strange beach. It's very very narrow but very very long. There is a disused pool as well which looks like it has seen far better days. It's totally strange. You can get up close to some of the crashing waves which are quite a spectacle. There were only two people on the beach, but plenty of people walking around the beach when I visited.

It's on the Bondi to Coogee walk so you cannot miss it.
