A friend took me to Alpha a couple of weeks after it had opened. I was amazed at what they had done in this building I had walked past many times and considered derelict. The restaurant is quite large and very well laid out with modern, clean white decor - very sophisticated. Although large, with pillars running through the place, when your seated it is actually seems smaller and it's not too noisy. Being lunch we only had 1 course which was the slow cooked lamb shoulder - absolutely delicious and despite choosing the small serving it was a very generous helping. Service wasn't brilliant but then they'd only been open 2 weeks. A far cry from the usual set menu, large party catering Greek restaurants I've been to in the past. Very good and I will be back!
