I went to Feast for a birthday party. On making the reservation, the birthday girl checked that there would be more than salad and bread available for me, and was assured that there would be plenty of vegetarian options. On arrival - only salad and bread. No hot vegetarian options . For $100+. When we complained, the Assistant Manager offered for the chef to make up a special vegetarian stir fry (which they will not do at the inappropriately named Noodle Bar, in the restaurant), but we had been there an hour at that time and I had moved onto dessert. I did not have to pay for my meal.
I wrote to Sheraton reminding them that providing a hot vegetarian option should be mandatory in all their buffets, given the popularity of vegetarian food. One vege meal in 11 hot meals on the buffet is surely not a big deal to accommodate, you would think. Every hot meal does not HAVE to have meat in it. Keep in mind there is a whole seafood buffet there too. It's not a big ask. Got a cut and paste apology. Not tailored to my very specific and pretty rational request. VERY disappointed in that standard of customer care.
If you are vegetarian, even if it is anti-social, decline any invitations to go there. So many other places better accommodate our preferences.
