We walked 750 m southwest from our Travelodge Hotel Sydney to see this 1903 Heritage Building. Passing the Belmore Park to the west incline road, we noted the flock of Australian whit ibis and the tall 1921 four face clock tower ahead. Its 281' height is matched by its huge hall with one side open to the 12 terminating platforms, many occupied by train engines. After visiting its food hall and the clean restrooms, we noted a wall sign marking forcibly removed Aboriginal children in the past.
We walked on to the eccentrically designed Building # 8 and further to the historic Powerhouse Museum before returning to our hotel,a circular route of less than 2 miles.
