Everyone knows the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House area but some of the best views of both are to be had from two walks on the North side, namely Taronga Zoo to Balmoral Beach and Spit Bridge to Manly..Neither particularly arduous but good footwear and plenty of water a must!
Do also visit Garden Island and Cockatoo Island with their maritime connections , both only a stop or two by ferry from Circular Quay.
Very pleasant place to spend a day. There are many ferries that will take the visitor to places like Taronga Zoo, Manly or Watsons Bay. All these places are worth a visit.
Its a great place to be with Sydney Opera house....,Circular Quay, Luna Park around. You can take a ferry to Manly and see the beaches;
Also, a catamaran to Parramatta...quite enjoyable
If you want to see Sydney harbour and the city at its best, you need to time a trip on the Mosman ferry from Circular Quay at sunset.
Make sure it's a weeknight as that's when all the office buildings are lit up.
Once you get to Mosman, catch the return ferry.
Best harbour in the world. Make sure you allow plenty of time to explore the harbour, and definitely use the ferries
