The beach at Manley is beautiful and surprisingly well organised as well. Apart from the great standard surf, we were able to hire an umbrella and deck chairs (that took me back to my childhood) also. The lifeguards are well organised and are patched into the sound system along the beach to ensure people do not forget how strong the rip tide can be on the majority of Austalia's Pacific facing beaches. This was a great experience and a beach I would revisit again and again. If you want to sit and watch the the world go by, there are plenty of restaurants along the promenade and Los of water fountains and sheltered seating and trees along the promenade if you want to escape the sun for a while. I can see why this place is popular with visitors and people from Syndney. I would definitely visit again and again, in fact I will consider staying in Manley on my next visit to Sydney.

The walk from Manly and Shelly is best. Even better if you snorkel all the way to Shelly!

Having the quiet harbour one side, walking through the Corso to the surf breach the other, it is just divine. Going early in the day would be better with less crowds just sitting quietly and enjoying the scenery is great, hiring a surfboard and getting into it even better

Took the ferry to Manley and did the hike (about 6 miles) along the coast, through the brush, and then along the cliffs overlooking the ocean - very beautiful!

Good surfing beach where you can spend the day watching the surfers and the kids in surf school.
Only a short walk through the town from the ferry terminal.
