If you like plants and flowers, this is for you, there are even workshops you can join in on and paint or draw.

We strolled for hours around these lovely gardens. The view of the Opera House and the Bay enhanced the beauty of the gardens. A very friendly, warden shared his knowledge with us, which further enhanced our visit. The Flora and Fauna is fantastic. The Flying Foxes are fascinating. The complex dilema related to the damage they do to trees is offset to some extent by the fact that they are great pollinators.

We walked through the gardens each day we were in Sydney and found it very interesting. It is well laid out and beautifully maintained. Apart from the multitude of birds and butterflies the most interesting for me were the flying foxes. They are very scary hanging upside down in the trees and the largest bats I have ever seen flapping around as they fly. They are in fact considered pests because they are destroying the trees

Travelling with two children we found the gardens a great retreat from the heat and bustle of the city. We got a bit lost without a map as the paths weave around the park in some areas. We wished we had more time here.
