It is very easy to cycle around Manly on the hill and on the scenic walkway along the beach. Stop anytime: shop, restaurants, bars, or just watch people. enjoy.

This great walk takes you from Manly to The Spit, mostly with fantastic views of the north reaches of Sydney Harbour, North Harbour and Middle Harbour. You get to see a diversity of flora, the occasional fauna, and a great variety of birds. There's a bridge through a rainforest-like environment, across parks, with quick detours to some great harbour beaches. In most places the walk is easy going, so makes for a leisurely walk on a sunny day. Although there are lots of places in shade, it can become very hot in summer, so suggest do this walk in spring or autumn, or in early morning in summer. Catch the bus back to Manly from The Spit.

Love doing this walk when I visit Sydney. Walking from Manly to the Spit Bridge, then walk over the bridge and catch the bus back into the city. The walk includes lovely little beach coves in the National Park, has great views to the Harbour and the Heads. The walk includes an extensive area through bushland in the National Park, with wonderful views. The track has lots of ups and downs, steps etc. Wear suitable footwear and take water. Allow about 3-4 hours.

It doesnt take 3-4hours but does take more than 2 hours. Dont leave after 4.00pm if not daylight savings time.
Well marked, part suburban, many parks, beach fronts and lots of national park, bushland and slightly remote area. be smart, water, phone, friend etc. Catch the bus back to town from the spit, walk over the bridge and past the little boat shop another 60 metres.

beautiful, you see a lot of nature, water, you pass the many rockpools (swimming away from the sharks), you can watch the surfers and you can choose to take a long or short walk. I must admit that somewhere I got lost (but that's probably me) but a very nice mother and her daugther brought me back to the ferry station. Also worthwile to go to Northead, from where you have a panoramic view over the sea.
