This was a beautiful trail and an easy walk. We got off the bus at the Taronga Park Zoo and then took the bus back from Clifton Head. It was lovely seeing all of the gum trees, the great views of the Sydney Harbour, and lots of wildlife, including kookaburras, lizards, magpies, and a turkey! There was lots of activity on the water when we were there because of the New Year's Eve fireworks. We cooled off at the end of our walk by going for a swim at Clifton Head.

I have lived in Sydney for over 30 years, and I can't believe I only discovered this walk this year. It features spectacular views of the harbour, some gorgeous (small) bay beaches, and some lovely picnic spots. The Bradleys Head part of the walk showcases views to the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. I normally drive to Chowder Bay and walk towards Bradleys Head, but next time I think I will catch the ferry to Bradleys Head (Taronga Park Zoo) and walk back the other way. There are toilets near the Bradleys Head amphitheatre (which is a nice spot for a picnic but watch out for thieving kookaburras - they literally swoop down and steal food out of your hand) and toilets and a small kiosk at Chowder Bay. Well worth doing.

One of my favourite ways to spend a Sunday in Sydney. Is less busy than the famous 'Bondi to Coogee' walk but has equally stunning views. Is a relatively easy walk with great places to stop along the way and enjoy the harbour energy.

Small secluded beach right next to Taronga Zoo ferry wharf. Had amazing views of the Harbour Bridge, CBD and Opera House. On a hot day like today it wasn't busy with maybe only 20 people at the beach, but plenty of boats anchored nearby. It is a very short walk from the National Parks carpark ($7/day). No facilities nearby that we saw. Parking near Taronga Zoo was $7/hr or $24/day. However if you walk a further 5min theres plenty of free untimed street parking in the residential area. Beach had a lot of shells and sticks washed up and lots of gravel in the water which I found uncomfortable to walk on. Despite that, escaping the crowds was a very welcome change for such great views.

This is not the most physically demanding trail in Sydney. In fact, it is good for most visitors and many will complete it within an hour. The secenery along the trail is beautiful and it is the main attraction of this trail. The lookouts at different location are great. Both Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House are fully captured at one glance.
Be prepared for windy days as the trail sticks out a lot into the sea. Recommeded.
