“An architectural marvel”
Reviewed 18 March 2012

Always wonderful to stroll around the iconic Sydney Opera House. It's glittering white facade always stands out so marvellously against the sparkling blue water of Sydney Harbour. There are some truly wonderful shows to be found in the many venues and although the accoustics aren't fantastic, the thrill of being in the opera house will overcome any disappointment. The tours are great as well and you can get a peek of rehearsals in progress if you're lucky.

Some great new bars and restaurants have cropped up in the concourse too. A site of Sydney not to be missed.

“Buy Discounted Performance Tickets w/your Tour”
Reviewed 18 March 2012

Ooops--my review is actually under The Opera House to Botanical Gardens WalkSorry about the confusion. Please read more under the Opera House to the Botanical Gardens Walk. Most important thing we learned was NOT to buy your performance tickets online in advance of going on the Opera Tour, unless of course you HAVE to see a particular show, because they offer "best seat" tickets for the next day's performance for $50pp Australian. (We had paid $155pp for balcony seats online!)

“As impressive in person as it is in the pictures”
Reviewed 18 March 2012

From the outside this is a beautiful building but on the inside is a little startling as it is mostly just cement walls except for the concert theater which is finished in beautiful wood.

The beauty of the Sydney opera house cannot be fully embraced without seeing it up close. It is an engineering fete. Spectacular in shape and form. When lit at night - Wow!!
