Being tiered Club Carlson members, one would expect an excellent, welcoming, and a little special stay for consumer loyalty. Unfortunately this does not exist here.
My wife and I had booked a 4D3N stay here given it's fantastic walkable location to most things in Sydney.
On arrival we were provided with an awkward laid out room facing a wall. We did try to speak to the front desk about changing our room - to their credit - they did provide us with a low floor room but a view of the street below. This room was slightly better, but was not worth the money we paid.
Being loyalty club members with airlines or other hotels tends to give fantastic perks that entice you to use their services again. There was absolutely zero perks. Even asking for a change in room felt like the hotel was doing us a favour. At approximately 850 AUD Plus 60,000 Gold Points for the room we had was pretty disgraceful.
The positives: The room was comfortable, shower was great and clean. The location was excellent. Staff were friendly. The borrow-able umbrellas were a great touch!
Negatives: As above. Expensive for what it is.More
