Can only be somewhere to sleep as the rooms are small and the view of a brick wall uninspiring. The most depressing thing is no lift! My partner has arthritic knees and my mother has sight and mobility problems. While staff were very willing to lug suitcases up to the top floor for us this was a real problem. Even more able bodied people clearly struggled. Did not suit at all. Only plus for us was the close proximity to the underground.

The rooms are functional and clean. Everything worked I my room. Perhaps the main downside of the hotel is lack of dining facilities - you have to go out for meals - even breakfast. With this in mind could be a bit overpriced. On the plus side - very friendly and helpful at reception.

Room Tip: There is no lift so avoid going above the first floor

Comfortable bed towels and amenities which include iron ironing board coffee tea facilities
Excellent service from Sabii and Pablo ( front of desk and bar respectively
Great recommendation for dinner at fu Manchu next door and a great cocktail to start the night at the hotel where the bar is very well stocked and the cocktail menu is very extensive

I know it’s reasonably priced but this place looks nothing like the pictures. Couldn’t swing a cat in the room and opened the curtain into a brick wall.

One thing we have learnt from staying here is be more vigilant when choosing a hotel.

For the right price it’s a one night stop only place.

Bed too soft and too small. We wouldn’t stay again and wouldn’t recommend.

Following a two-week cruise around New Zealand and SE Australia, we spent a couple days in Sydney. Sydney is spectacular and though the hotel worked for us just fine, we discovered it was somewhat inconveniently located. Fortunately, Sydney has a pretty good transit system (subway), but everyplace we wanted to go involved a train ride. Cheap, fast, safe and reliable, it just got old real fast.

Otherwise, the hotels was adequate. Make note - there is NO LIFT (elevator). Not a huge problem for us but if you have any mobility issues look elsewhere.
