My husband + I have done this walk several times, but other way round as daughter + her husband live in Coogee. It’s a beautiful coastal walk that can be done in sandals, flip flops or walking shoes. The path is well- defined with lots of water drinking fountains + resting areas. Do take time out to read/review grave stones in iconic Waverley graveyard, simply amazing. Bronte is gr8 for ice cream/coffee pit stop to to watch surfers. On final push to Bondi - do go into Icebergs pool/restaurant (ID required) overlooking Bondi Beach for drink/snack. Either walk back to Coogee or bus toBondi Junction + another bus to Coogee (easy trip) or maybe taxi.

Local friends took us on this walk but we started at Coogee. It was great to end at Bondi where there are tons of places to eat and spend more time there. Pack along a water bottle and then refill it at the stops along the way. Bring your camera, the entire path is stunning!

Forget the tours - you can see some of the best beaches in a slow 1 hour easy walk (one way). Many different beaches with cliffs, white sand, blue water, neighborhoods along the way. While Bondi may make the TV ads, we found the other beaches nicer, cleaner, way less tourists and cheaper restaurants / cafes. While I was recovering from a broken foot but was able to do the walk, I do not recommend this walk from persons with mobility issues. We liked the Oceanside salt water pools that appeared to be free / public.

The coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee is a great experience. It is a good path all the way with great views of the ocean and coast. There are cafe stops and toilet facilities along the way if you need a break.

We were dropped off at Coogee beach and started the walk to Bondi. Views were amazing! It is well marked and well travelled, with plenty of places to stop and rest and take in views or jump in for a swim. It gets narrow and congested at some spots and you share it with runners, but well worth it!
