Had a great time kayaking around in the National Park next to Palm Beach. The ferry ride over was great, and we had an awesome time exploring the basin in the kayaks.

Thank you for the positive feedback. As they say is Sth Aus "the journey is part of the experience". The Palm Beach ferry across Pittwater is a great way to travel to the Basin. We are happy you all enjoy the kayaking tour and we could also add some value through our commentary of the location. Thank you for your support
Paddle Boarding: Totally inexperienced, we three Seniors, with Damien's clear instructions, managed to stay upright for about 1 1/4 hours. It was so peaceful and relaxing, in the gorgeous setting of The Basin. We got the ferry from Palm Beach which was a lovely journey in itself. We got to the Basin to see loads of wallabies, including one with a joey in her pouch. The lagoon is quite protected so there was no wind, and the water was 'flat' which ade it easier for us as beginners. All in all a great time was had by the three of us.
Thank you for the review. You did more than stay dry Helen. Once you all got your feet you all looked right at home on the paddle boards. It is very rewarding to hear you loved the nature experience at the Basin Campground, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Our aim is for you to connect with nature and enjoy the serenity of the experience. Thank you for the support and see you next time with the rest of the family. Damien
My kids and I realy enjoyed the tour. I cannot blame Ecotreasures for the lack of parking, but Shelley beach and Manly are really terrible places to drive and park.
Michelle was a very pleasant young lady, and studies at the local Marine research establishment. So she really knew her sea creatures.
The gear was clean and easy to use. The local wildlife was excellent, especially the "giant" cuttlefish.
Very happy with the overall experience.
Thank you for the feedback. Yes the beach can be busy on the weekends when the sun is shining everywhere is Sydney. We are glad you made it to the tour and had a great time with your family. What a epic experience to see a cuttle fish? They are one of the most amazing highlights in the Cabbage Tree Aquatic Reserve. Good to hear you were impressed with your guide Michelle as she is a very passionate and talented marine lover. Thank you for your support Damien
We joined Damien on the Pittwater Kayaking full day tour and had great fun! Damien is a cool and relaxed kind of guy perfect for these types of tours.
We really enjoyed being in the water as the weather started to heat up and hearing about the local knowledge and animals in the area something I guess you wouldn't get if you just hired a kayak without the tour. Wet suits and snacks were provided so we really didn't have to bring too much with us.
Also, the ferry across to the campground where you start was quite a scenic trip and we were feeling a bit peckish on the way back and ended up stopping by the local fish an chip shop which was awesome after a long day's kayaking.
We are very happy you enjoyed the Pittwater kayaking adventure with us. We are so very lucky to have some very peaceful and pristine beaches located in Pittwater we can show case to our guests. Our Pittwater Kayak tour launching from the Basin is the easiest way to get the secluded beaches of Pittwater western foreshore in a easy going 3 hour tour. Thank you for your support Damien
Great snorkeling tour today. Damien was very professional, pleasant and knowledgable. Saw lots of amazing sea creatures. Beautiful spot
Thank you for the feedback Sally. We are stoked you had a good time and enjoyed the nature experience. See you next time Damien
We went snorkelling off Shelly Beach, near Manly Beach, in the Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve and this was one of our highlights of Sydney. The water was not totally clear because it had rained heavily a few days before. Nonetheless, we saw more fish and more types of fish than we had seen for quite a few years (although not as many as we saw later in our trip in Hawaii). We saw, for example, two types of rays, a cuttlefish, some big blue Gropers (some were over 1.5 feet = .5 meters long) and many other colorful fish, often in large schools. The owner, who was our guide, was thoughtful, patient, cheerful and knowledgeable about what we saw. Wetsuits and other gear were included in the price and were in good shape. Pictures (above and underwater) were available for an additional $20. Note that you have to book before 6 pm the evening before you go.
Thank you for the kind feedback. We are very happy to hear the Manly snorkel tour was one of the highlights of your trip. Even when the conditions are not perfect it is still a very fun experience and much better than being in an office or working hard somewhere. We are so lucky to have this natural marine treasure so close the Sydney city. Safe Travel and thank you for the support. Damien
