“A superb day from beginning to end”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2012

Have visited Sydney before but not to the Blue Mountains. We decided on Blue Diamond Tours after many favourable reviews on Trip Advisor and how right we were.
We were picked up by our driver/guide for the day Paul from our hotel right on time for an early morning start. The great benefit from this is missing some of the heavy morning traffic on the drive out of the city.
Our first stop for morning coffee and freshly baked scones was very nice. The cafe having the most amazing views.
We arrived at Scenic World before the coach loads of visitors arrived. This was the story of the day always being one step in front of the masses!
Paul was a real star for us, taking us to some amazing places. His knowledge and advice were great and made the day so enjoyable.
We were lucky enough to visit The Koori Aboriginal Centre which I believe is a new addition to the itinery, well worth it.
Delightful lunch at a local Sports club was made all the easier by Paul calling ahead with our orders as to not waste any time.
Next on the agenda was Featherdale Wildlife Centre where we were able to get up close with some of Australia's best known animals.
Finally we were taken to the ferry for a cruise on the Parramatta River into Circular Quay.
We were met at the ferry station by the tour owner Alena which was a nice touch.
We were very lucky with the weather, one of the best they had had for a while, but from what I've read from other reviews Blue Diamond endeavour to make your tour the best they can whatever the conditions.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this tour, indeed we cannot see how it can be bettered.
Thank you

“Great tours of Blue Mountains, and a City tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2012

We went on 2 tours with Blue Diamond Tours. The trip to the Blue Mountains with Rob was great - we saw various sites in the Blue Mountains, Featherdale wildlife park, and had a River Cruise. Rob was friendly and very knowledgable about the area. We also took, on a different day, a tour of the city with Rob's wife, Alina. We saw many different areas of the city and the surrounding areas; she, also, was an excellent guide. We were very pleased with both tours and would highly recommend them.

“An unforgettable day - really fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2012

Roberto collected us from our hotel bright and early and we went off to pick up the rest of the tour-goers (mainly Americans, but a few English and 2 from Indonesia!). We drove firstly to Flat Rock, which was amazing - Rob even took a nice photo of us together and put it in a folder for us to keep as a souvenir (included in the tour price). Then we went up the road a bit further and stopped for tea and home-baked scones at another beautiful viewpoint. Next we were off to Scenic World (not included in the price but we did the whole thing and it was good value for what you got to do!). Firstly there was a cable car ride across the gorge with great views of the 'Three Sisters'. Then we went down a really steep incline on a cliff railway, then we had a walk through the rainforest, viewing a rather odd variety of 'art' installations on the way round. Then the trip back up on another cliff railway to the shop etc to re-join Rob. Our next stop was an aboriginal centre right by Echo Point. The centre was really interesting and we met some real aborigines, had our faces daubed with clay markings and were honoured to be given a fantastic demonstration of the didgeridoo! We also had a souvenir photo taken again (not included in the tour price, but again worth it!). Then it was back in the deluxe air-conditioned minibus for the trip back down the mountain - beautiful scenery all the way and interesting commentary by Rob, but not so much that you wished he would be quiet! He was a great driver and a great guide! Next stop was a Sports Club for a lovely lunch - we had a choice and had already opted for the roast lamb, which was delicious. Next stop was the marvellous Featherdale Wildlife Park, where we got to stroke koala bear (you're not allowed to hold one) and feed the wallabies and kangaroos, which hop around freely (watch out for the poo!!). There are plenty of places to wash your hands and decent toilets, plus there is a small cafe and you can buy ice-creams etc. Our last stop before the Rivercat cruise back to the city was to have a quick look at the Olympic Stadium, which is not far from Sydney and is now used as a sporting venue plus venue for music concerts, etc. Then we went for a quick look at an exclusive new development at Breakfast Point, then we went to the Rivercat stop and it was time to say goodbye to Rob. We also met his lovely wife Alena, who had our tickets for the boat. We took loads of photos during the day and some great ones of Sydney from the boat, before disembarking at Circular Quay. It was a really fantastic, well-organised day, truly worth every penny. We will never forget it! (Book online in advance to make sure you get a place!!)

“Best Way To See the Blue Mountians”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2012

My family and I recently booked a private Blue Mountain tour with Rob. We just can't say enough good things about this tour. Rob gave a lot of interesting information along the way and took us to some "off the beaten path" locations. I have no trouble giving this tour the highest recommendation...I only wish we could stay longer! The price was reasonable and worth every penny and in my opinion, the small group was so much better than the giant bus tours.
