This is a wonderfully creative Japanese eatery where "fusion" is a good word.
As a group of 5 we sampled a large part of the lunch menu & could not find fault with any.
My advice is to skip the sashimi & sushi and go for the more unusual offerings.
Firm mains favourites include the scallops, toothfish and wagyu brisket.
Yes it is not cheap and the drinks list is rather extortionate. Stick to mineral water and (cold) sake carafes.
Service generally attentive and timely.

Excellent Japanese cuisine. Not an over done or confusing menu. Great flavours with fresh and high quality ingredients. Everything is good. Sake listing is extensive and of high quality, try any Kirinzan.

This restaurant was recommended to us. We couldn't get reservations that night, but decided to walk in since we were in the area. We were fortunate a table opened up. Attentive service, good food, happy buzz. It was a perfect place before walking around to see Vivid.

Very good experience and a wonderful dinner. Had a booking for 6.30pm and was seated on time. Had the Chief's Tasting Plate ($110 per person) and an $80 bottle of wine (wine expensive for what it was, but was expected). Great 7 course meal which was served over 2 hours; nicely paced so you enjoy the food and also the company you were with. Restaurant was full on a Thursday night which again confirmed how good it was. Would recommend for a special occasion

Had the New Classics Chef menu. Salmon sashimi was delicious. Highlights were the crispy rice with tuna and wagyu brisket. Staff were all friendly. Music a bit loud for me, but it created a very hip and buzzing atmosphere.
