“Nice but tired”
Reviewed 13 April 2012

Ok, first off to be fair I believe when this hotel was first built, it would of been very luxurious but some 20 years or so (id imagine) on the place is looking quite tired and in need of an overhaul.

The rooms are located in another part of the resort than the reception so you need to lug your bags for about 10-15 minutes while you hunt aimlessly for your room around the resort.

The rooms are nice and clean but not sure it warrants the title of Superior Resort Room (King) at $250 a night?

The food in Charlies restaurant is very nice I have to say, was very happy with it and would definately recommend, adequate portions, nice choices, fair selection, nice taste and presentation and very friendly staff.

The breakfast at the hotel is very good also, a full running buffet of cooked breakfast dishes, cereals, fruits, breads, yoghurts, juices, pancakes, definately one of the nicer breakfasts I have eaten recently at a hotel.

Reception staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Rebbeca? I think (blonde lady) organised a taxi to airport and was there within minutes and given at a discount too.

Room a bit tired, with a few chipped tiles in bathroom. Restaurant very swish but limited menu, great food served in the bar.

We stayed for our sons wedding in the 3 bedroom spa unit(6 people) at a hefty fee. The room was large, that is about all you can say. There was paint peeling off the walls and ceiling, the bathroom fittings were rusted and pitted. The lights and air conditioning in the lounge did not work. We had to supply our own tea, coffee, sugar and milk because there was not sufficient for 6 people. The carpet was stained and dirty and the front of house manager was arrogant and rude. I would never stay there again. The menu for the wedding was good, but the reception room was not prepared ie when setting up the dance floor, they left all of the left over pieces of timber on the floor for people to trip over. The drinks ordered for the wedding were not correctly supplied. They mixed up the booking for the bride and her family. We have three more weddings coming up and were considering this venue - not now!
