Very well located hotel; very close to all cultural activities in Canberra, with a bonus of free parking with a reasonable nightly tariff. Lovely walks close by to overcome taking the car with parking charges throughout Canberra.

An absolute charming hotel. Great location, very -very clean.I stayed in room number 238(2bedroom) it was spacious with a huge comfy bed. The nespresso machine was a lovely touch! All Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Have requested to stay at Brassey for all Canberra work trips moving forward.

The Brassey Hotel is an older style withtwo floors, no lift which is fine. Clean hotel, friendly staff, good restaurants and bars across the road, (none in house) close to town centre.
The room was small, bathroom very small, it is best for One person or very slim, small couples, or newly weds who don't mind a small space. The bed was comfortable but too soft for us and the doona too warm. The lighting is quite low. I liked that we could open the windows a little. It was clean and well serviced and we had a quiet room with leafy outlook.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brassey Hotel. Our room was nice and bright with two large windows, a small alcove with desk and coffee making facility.
The bathroom however was quite dark with subdued lighting .
All things provided to make a short stay very comfortable.
Access to a free bistro near the reception is nice.
The downside is there is no restaurant on site. One has to walk approx 150m to an associated restaurant in the Burberry Hotel. Not far but if there’s a mobility problem could be inconvenient.
There are stairs in various areas of the hotel so be aware and make your reservation accordingly.
On site parking is excellent.
Nice walking area.
Would certainly recommend updating the reception area but that’s cosmetic only!
Overall a very nice old hotel.

We visit Canberra often and always aim to stay at Brasseys Hotel. The staff are consistently friendly, the location is perfect for our needs, the rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. We love that we can enjoy a coffee next to a 'fire' and read the paper in the lounge. Or if the weather is fine, we can sit outside beneath the trees. A wonderful place to stay in Canberra - we always feel at home here.
