My husband & I stayed 2 nights at Brassey Hotel which was a beautiful heritage building in a quiet residential area. It has free wifi, free parking, bike hire, modern tea/coffee room off front entrance, large stylish gym but no swimming pool that I could see and no restaurant. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. A lovely old style atmosphere about the hotel with charm and character. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Canberra.

Dear Yvonne,

Thanks for wonderful review!

Great to hear you were able to make use of our complimentary wifi, parking & tea and coffee facilities.

Although not located in the Brassey Hotel building, guests certainly have access to a 25m swimming pool, as well as 5 restaurants/cafes with chargeback facilities. Please don't hesitate to approach reception or refer to your in room guide for further details and directions.

We look forward to welcoming you back on your next trip to Canberra!

Kind Regards,
Madi

Friendly and efficient check in, with plenty of onsite parking available. Reasonable sized room, comfortable, with air conditioning and district views from first floor. Quiet area of Canberra and room also quiet; didn’t hear any other hotel guests. (Room was located at end of a corridor on first floor).
The hotel has recently been refurbished, both inside & out, with nice sitting areas interspersed amongst the rooms. Good price for short stay.
Dripping toilet took a couple of hours for hotel to fix; slight inconvenience meanwhile.

Room tip: Upper floor has district views and may be quieter than ground floor.

Dear Geoff H,

Thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay! How wonderful to hear you enjoyed the visit, particularly the recent refurbishments that offers many spaces for guests to relax.

One of the greatest aspects of the wonderful Brassey is it's peaceful and tranquil location. Unlike many other hotels, the suburban setting offers the type of peace and quiet people experience in their own homes.

Sorry to hear there was a delay in attending to your toilet issue! I am glad to hear that staff were able to assist in having this resolved, and hope to welcome you back soon!

Kind Regards,
Madi

Great staff, clean and spacious room. Retains an old world charm but has all the facilities you would need including great gym. The reception staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to please. Highly recommended and I will definitely book here again next trip to Canberra.

I understand parking can be an issue from some of the other reviews, but we didn't have any trouble while we were there. Extremely comfortable bed, and the coffee machine in the lobby was a wonderful addition to the day...nice to come home to and grab one on the way up to our room Close to most every major sight to see, they have bicycle hire as well!

A great place to be able to walk to dinner and back, with access to pool and sauna. Ostani is just over the road and all the sights like the national gallery, Portrait Gallery and Manuka Oval are close. easy walk to kingston Foreshore for the House Of Bubbles.
