Incredible displays and the new cold war section is well presented.
A lot of construction is still occurring and at present a maximum 2 hours is the tour time you have.
Will be great when completed construction works.

I didn't think I would like it here, but I was wrong. This is a fantastic place to see and learn history. The displays are impressive and well put together. Thus is a very large museum, do not expect to see everything in 1 trip.

Our journey to Australia was made possible by the amazing team at Visas Abroad who helped us secure our visa seamlessly. Once we arrived, one of the highlights of our trip was visiting the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. This iconic place deeply moved us, offering a profound experience that connected us with Australia's history and sacrifices.

The memorial is both a museum and a shrine, and walking through its halls gave us insight into Australia's military history, from WWI to more recent conflicts. The exhibits were detailed and immersive, with lifelike dioramas, aircraft, and personal stories of those who served. It was an emotional and educational experience, and we spent hours exploring the exhibits.

One moment that stood out was attending the Last Post ceremony, where a story is shared about one of the fallen soldiers, followed by a moving bugle call. The atmosphere was so respectful and solemn—it really made us reflect on the courage of those who fought for freedom.

Thanks to Visas Abroad, our visa process was smooth, and we were able to enjoy experiences like this. If you’re planning to move to Australia or visit as a tourist, we can’t recommend Visas Abroad enough. They made everything easy, and we are so grateful to have had this opportunity.

Absolute beauty of a place in Canberra!! Spent 3+ hours exploring the place while listening to the descriptive information from the guide. The outside stunned me and it was so breathtaking. Visiting again!! 5 stars!!

As most people have already said a "profoundly moving and educational experience" we only had 2 hours and only completed the first world war section, will happily return when renovations are completed for another look. You must stay for the "Last Post" ceremony at the end of the day!
