The latest exhibition, Starstruck, is wonderful! It is much larger than similar exhibitions held at the National Portrait Gallery, deservedly so. The images, and the stories behind over 90 years of Australian movies are just brilliant. This is a joint exhibition between the National Film and Sound Archive and the National Portrait Gallery. It is not just an exhibition of portraits as there are iconic historical costumes associated with the Australian Movie Industry, many you will recognise if you have been a fan of the Australian Movie industry.
This runs until March 2018, do not miss it!!

wonderful collection of portraits. Some areas were closed due to a new exhibition about to open but still well worth the visit. Fabulous cafe.

We took a lot longer than we had planned to see the Gallery. I absolutely loved the visit.
There was a lot going on with exhibits that was not expected. The famous people in the gallery were from early colonial days. So some of the people in history we had learnt about we could put a face to the name. I found that very interesting. Don't miss it

So many unexpected faces on display from recent to those who helped build the nation, still living and since passed. I won't spoil it, but there will be plenty of people in the exhibits that everyone will recognise, but if not then there's a nice little description of each person's achievements to give you an idea of their significance in the gallery.

My first visit and I didn't allow long enough to admire each portrait fully and appreciate the skill of the artist, next time I will!
