“Fantastic Holiday”
Reviewed 26 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Thanks to Giselle, Patrick and team
We enjoyed our wonderful stay at your villa. All the information you get from Giselle before the start of your holiday is very detailed and well put together. The facilities were superb everything in the villa was there that was needed. Out of this world the stunning mountain views and surrounding scenery.
We all would definitely recommend your villa to anyone visiting Cyprus.
Thanks once again Giselle.

“Overall Excellent”
Reviewed 12 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Like many others have written Elia House really does have everything you may want or need for your stay.

The bedrooms - Plenty of storage, lovely big wardrobes, the comfiest beds EVER, plenty of plug sockets, and overall spacious. The 2 double rooms had direct access to the veranda and pool area, lovely in the morning to wake up and open the doors to the fresh mountain air.

The bathrooms - The main bathroom is spacious, with a shower over the bath. Great to have a bath for the kiddies. Beware the floors are very slippy when wet, make sure your kids are aware when getting out of the bath. The En-suite was handy to have. Equipped with a loo and shower. There were plenty of towels, and lots of spares. Handy to have the pool towels also - saved us space on packing!

The living room and dining area are also pretty spacious, with high ceilings. The kitchen was smaller, but well equipped and did the job. The BBQ area outside was very popular with my family.

There was a wealth of information, both sent by email and in the house itself. Not that we really needed it as we are regular travellers to Cyprus.

We did have a few minor problems with electrics, when we arrived in the dark the power was off. Luckily my family know their electrics and managed to get the power back on. The Agent and Owners (and Andre the pool man) were both quick to respond and got the problem sorted.

I think that having our stay at the end of the season meant that some general maintenance was needed, nothing major, a couple of the sun beds were in need of repair, and some doors handles were problematic.

The pool was lovely, all be it cool, but this time of the year it is to be expected. Nice when you need to cool off quickly, but we had some windy days when it was just too cold to swim, even in the 1st week of Oct.

I would also suggest that for children under over the age of about 7 the house is great. They can swim within their depth and use the other facilities. However any younger at this time of the year i would probably not recommend this. The pool was just too cold for my youngest (1.5) and too deep for my eldest (6), so we tended to go out during the days, to the Zoo or the beach etc. My youngest is still crawling and the hard floors were not agreeing with his head! I suppose this is probably true of all houses in Cyprus, they all have tiled hard floors.

Having said that my eldest was so excited with all the toys that were there, and having the freedom to explore the gardens, trampoline and pick fruit.

The location was good, it is about a 15 minute drive to the highway, and then another 5 mins or so to the Tourist Road. Not somewhere to stay if you need to use a Taxi, don't think they venture here. If you have a car and don't mind the drive then it's great.

We prefer the Beach at Lady's Mile (Captains Cabin area) and this is about a 30 minute drive from the villa.

We tended to use the main supermarkets in Limassol, Carefour, as they were better priced than the smaller 24hr shops. Again these are about 20 minutes from the villa.

Overall a great place, that we would really consider using again, but when my kids are a bit older, or the weather is a bit warmer!

“Sublime hillside beauty spot -luxurious villa”
Reviewed 7 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We have just returned from a blissful week staying at Elia House. Where to begin?

Before we even arrived we were amazed by the wealth of information that Giselle sent to us. Detailed lists of all the local restaurants, directions on how to get there and even menus to browse. There was information on local walks, attractions, beaches, bakeries, supermarkets - whatever you might possibly need was thought of. She even sent a "where to find things in the villa" sheet which was so helpful when we were looking for hair dryers, cooler boxes etc.

The villa is set in magnificent surroundings with stunning uninterrupted views of the mountains. The pool and gardens are beautifully kept and offer complete solitude and silence. On the grounds are Jasmine, Hibiscus, numerous flowering shrubs, Oranges, fig, olive lemon trees, amongst others. The owners should be congratulated on how beautifully landscaped and maintained the gardens are.

When you come into the villa, you immediately feel you have come home. Whatever you have in your own home is there, and more. From a kitchen with every gadget and facility you need, to kids toys, games, books, inflatable lilos for the pool. On the poolside terrace, there are several wooden dining table and chairs, 6 sun-loungers, several parasols, full size gas barbecue centers, brick barbecue, covered swing hammock with seating, and of course a gorgeous swimming pool, with its cascading stone waterfall. On a side terrace there is a full-size ping pong table, and an enclosed trampoline, which is great fun for the kids and any energetic adults. The pool was just the right temperature for us, refreshing in the heat, but warm enough that you could spend hours in it, immersing yourself not only in the water, but also in the absolutely sublime views of the surrounding mountains, from the comfort of your lilo. The pool was cleaned twice during the week we were there by a charming man who was also a wealth of local information.
Given the isolation of the spot and the complete tranquility, the only sounds you hear are the trickle of the waterfall into the pool, birdsong, and the crickets.

If you do want to find a bit more life, the village centre is about 10 minutes walk away, and Limassol about a 20 minute drive. Most of the livelier towns in Cyprus, Pathos, Nicosia and Larnaka are 40 minutes to an hours drive, and the drive itself is a pleasure to do –always with clear roads and great scenery on the way.

We can’t think of one thing to fault and cannot recommend this wonderful oasis of calm highly enough.
