Just returned from three nights in this cabin. Wow! It was fantastic. Turned up to a lovely clean cabin, good sizing and a fab view.
Easy to find although there were 12 miles of single track road leading up to it but it was well maintained track so wasn't too bad.
The site itself is overall well maintained and looked after. With a good amount of space between any cabins so you don't even notice you are near anyone else and have loads of privacy.
There was a bottle of prosecco left in the fridge for our arrival which was a lovely touch. There was also a coffee machine with two packs of pods, tea bags, sugar and washing up liquid. Kitchen is well stocked with pans, knives, tinfoil etc.
The log fire was lovely but I wouldn't recommend using if you don't sleep well in a hot house as the cabin retains the heat so well for ages!
There is wifi which is good for those with children. We had some issues with it not working but we didn't mind at all so didn't seek out any help getting it fixed.
The community centre is open for food and drink on a Thursday to Sunday. We popped in for a drink and it was lovely. Some of the burgers being served looked delicious. And they have wifi so if you are having issues with the cabin wifi then theirs is an option.
The surrounding wooded areas are truly stunning and the Loch and surrounding scenery is breath taking. We spent one night sitting by the loch side in the woods and it was fantastic.
There were nuts provided in the cabin for the wildlife. Keep topping these up! We saw so many birds and squirrels we lost count! And keep your eyes open for the little bats flying overhead at sunset.
tip: take insect repellant. Lots of it. The midgeys are there in great numbers. And bite cream for when the repellant fails.
Tip: take beach towels for when you get in and out hot tub so you don't have to use the shower towels.
Overall it is a lovely cabin, with lots of character and lots of added extras. I would wholly recommend a visit.
We stayed here the last 3 days and it was the most blissful, peaceful place i have ever been to. You are quite a bit from from any shops etc other than the little shop in the village so you would be better being well stocked! We went to the cafe for lunch and the restaurant for dinner and everyone was just lovely. We are looking to book again ASAP!!my kids loved it. My hubby and son hired a boat and went round the loch for 4 hours, they loved it, whilst i took my daughter for pleasant walks in the surrounding area. Its nice to be away from it all!!! The cabin was clean and well presented and had everything you need, (would recommend a small extension for a washing machine) LOL, the whole town would hear it, its so peaceful. The sauna and hot tub really made it for us, we came home rejuvenated with lovely skin and it was great jumping in the hot tub after a sauna! Its a smaller cabin than we are used to but it didn't matter as its location made up for it!! Be back soon!!
