Visited this restaurant with three friends. We all had various starters and ordered fillet steaks as main courses, and then deserts. When the main course plates were collected I said politely to the waiter that all are steaks were tough. My fillet which was ordered medium / well done was also quite bloody.
The waiters response was sarcastically “we will have to get a new butcher “ No apology or the offer of complementary coffees.
The issue wasn’t really the tough steaks which can happen, it was the response from the waiter.
As regulars to this restaurant it will certainly be the last time we visit.

Nice and pleasant place great food and service, it’s very easy to see why the tables were never empty, they were full again as soon as the last ones went, so definitely the place to be !

We hadn't been for over 12 months due to inconsistent food but we thought we would give it another try. This was a mother's day treat for our mums and a mixed bag of ages from children, grandchildren, parents and grandparents so a mixture of tastes.

We were shown to our table and quickly given the drinks menu for we were served a variety of drinks efficiently by the friendly staff. Due to having two young children with us we skipped the starters and ordered 8 main courses.

They didn't quite all come together but the children were happy with their pizza and chicken nugget with chips. Next up our daughter's salmon with a sauce (already over the salmon) but the sauce was cold and she sent it back asking for it all just to be warmed up (no drama). When it cam back the sauce had all been scraped off and she was left with just a piece of salmon - she didn't want to send it back again and delay us all eating separately.
I ordered a fillet steak In a Diane sauce so a decent quality cut to ensure a good meal. Mine arrived last (not a problem) and the steak was completely covered In sauce and thus hiding the fact that it wasn't "medium" and a lot less than that albeit it chewy and fatty. I didn't want to send it back as I was already the last to be served.
My partner ordered king prawns In a tomato sauce with rice - the sauce was tasty and the rice was very good but the prawns were rubbery so overcooked.

My mum had a plain chicken breast (she's 93) and asked for a plain sauce - the chicken was very dry (maybe understandably) but the sauce wasn't nice at all.

The other meals were just ok without being outstanding.

Whilst eating our meal we watched a large party arrive clearly for a special birthday as they had 60th balloons, prezzies and a cake in a box. We and other tables heard them ask if they could put the cake in the back and bring it out on request to which the waiter replied "it's mother's day and we are too busy to do birthday cakes" - not the best customer service as for the sake of a two minute job they may have lost a lot of custom.

My report - must do better !

The best value! For £13 you are offered a wide range of three courses and the food is just delicious.
