This was definitely one of our top family trip! It’s location is only a few minutes to the South Rim entrance to the Grand Canyon. This makes driving to and from an easy task! Perfect when traveling around with kids. The Squire is the must stay location if you and the family/friends are wanting to chill after a day of adventure with all the amenities that are offered.
Soundproofing is awful. You can easily hear people next door and EVERYTHING in the hallway. Drinks were weak and filled with ice. Pizza was subpar. No internet connection even though it said I was connected via hotel's "free" wi-fi. No complimentary breakfast and main door to our building was broken thus having zero security. Room also vaguely smelled of marijuana.
Greetings, Thank you for detailing out your experience here. I am sincerely sorry about the multiple misses of service during your stay. We are aware and working on the broken door. We have had some recent challenges with the internet, and we are working on a solution as well. I am trying to track down what room you stayed in so we can look into why soundproofing was challenging and the vague odor of marijuana as most of these things are items we can address and remediate. I am so sorry about this. I hope you have safe and pleasant travels. I hope you visit again so we can properly wow you.
Location is the key here - 20 minutes to the South Rim. The lobby looks nice and new, unfortunately the same cannot be told about the rooms. They definitely feel outdated and require an update. The biggest disappointment was the bed - very squeaky. With every turn a screeching noise pierced the silence of the night. One of the worst sleeping experiences I've had in any hotel. Also the indoor pool clearness is rather questionable.
I did like the idea of complementary s'mores kits that can be cooked on a fire pit.
Excellent stay! Everything is close to perfect, classy yet cozy & inviting. Plush, very comfy bed, linens, toiletries, decor & ambience. Nice pool & pool bar! Lots of things & games to do next to the pool & pool bar - cornhole, pool tables, ect.
Thank you so very much Michelle, for finding us a room with a balcony. (Upgrade?!) It was a rough travel day for us & you saved it. Your kindness & help meant everything. We’ve been BW fans & Rewards members for years & this BW is in a league of its own.
We have stayed several times IN the Grand Canyon at their lodging but this BW was absolutely perfect for this visit. We will return!!
Good but definitely not great. The location is amazing, right at the rim of the Grand Canyon. The lobby was spacious and very nice. The proximity to shops and restaurants was great and offered many options for dining. The room with parking right in front was a bonus. Rooms could use some updating, but very spacious and comfortable.
The resort offered numerous indoor and outdoor activities.
The staff while friendly were somewhat slow making check in a little frustrating. Extremely poor Wi-Fi performance with no assistance or remediation was disappointing. Overall a positive experience at a prime location, but for the price point, more.
