Absolutely loved Archontiko. It's situated in this very old super cute little village right below a medieval monastery. Our room was so cute, bright and airy with a very comfy bed. The breakfast was delightful. Mix of Greek and continental. Great coffee. Nothing was too much for them. We felt really well looked after. A great base to explore Zagori.

Have left the archontiko earlier today 3rd of November. For 3 people we have paid 70 euros.
There is no parking just outside the hotel since it is a traditional village and you have to park outside. You might have to walk 3 to 5 minutes. It is situated just after the main square of the village.
We got number 7 which was very beautiful.
There is heating inside the room so you will not feel cold.
Breakfast is adequate and tasty so there is no chance you will not feel cold.
One disadvantage we observed is that there was a vad smell inside the room perhaps due to sewage issues. We have informed Ms. Chrysa who has been very welcoming and she said she will inform the owner.
Thank you for the lovely hospitality.

To finalize our holidays in Greece we wanted to spend one night in the mountains far from the crowd and that was a success. The village itself is really cute and
The guest house is so nice and personal: you feel right away comfortable in this place. Rooms are decorated with good taste and with lots of "personal touch". The host has welcomed us so nicely and made sure we had all what we needed. She advised us some nice places/villages/monasteries to visit in the area.
The breakfast was lovely as well with lots of "homemade" and local products. Ir definitely worth to stay there and enjoy the nice guest house and beautiful surroundings.

With no doubt - the best place to stay in Dilofo and in general, in the Zagorchoria villages! The hostess, Dimtria, is such a wonderful person who knows EVERYTHING there is to know about the area and she can reccommends places to see that you don't want to miss! She's a pleasent hostess with great manner and knowledge. Her breakfests are the best we tasted in our 16 days in Greece.
The rooms are always clean and smell good, the design is so beautiful, you'd wish you could stay for the rest of your life!
In bottom line - this is the place for you!!!

Room Tip: You can't enter to the village with your car, but the Archontiko is 10 minutes walk

I agree with other reviewers that this is a picturesque B&B in a serene location. However, I want to note that you must arrive during daytime and you will have to carry your luggage uphill along a very uneven cobblestone pathway for 5-10 minutes to the lodging. It took me quite a while to find my way from the car park area through the village as there was almost no one around. I later realized that the way was somewhat marked, but not so that I initially observed. On our second day we saw four travelers carrying a stroller with a baby in it, to avoid the cobblestones, so obviously it was not a good choice for them, nor would it be for someone unsure on their feet.

The house itself was beautifully restored, with all modern conveniences, and the breakfast provided was very good. The location allowed us to explore the area, which we adored - especially the Vikos Gorge.

I am giving this place 4 stars primarily because the owner recommended a restaurant in the village which gave us the worst meal we had in Greece and one of the worst meals anywhere. Tasteless lamb with roasted potatoes for one of us and a small bowl of chickpeas and eggplant for the other - a debacle at any price and a ripoff at 17 euros. My husband wondered if the restuarant owner was a cousin of our host.

Dilofo -as most of the villages in Zagori- is a traditional village in a protected area in terms of architectural heritage. Almost every pathway is cobblestone well preserved, the majority of houses are old traditional houses made of stone, and that is the beauty and the particularity that makes “Zagori” unique and one of the most famous and loved destinations in the region of Epirus.
Cars are prohibited to enter the center of most villages and are all parked right outside the village “entrance” in open public parking spaces.
So the only way to visit, and explore the area is by foot, walking on the cobblestone pathways.
“Archontiko Dilofou”, our mansion, is at a distance of 5min max from the parking space and there are 3 signs to help you find your way.
Nevertheless we are always willing to offer our help to visitors, if needed, to curry their luggage and provide detailed information about how to reach our mansion, as long as they ask us.
About restaurant recommendations we usually recommend lots of restaurants in the surrounding area and neighboring villages so that people have the chance to make choices. In Dilofo there is only one restaurant and is the nearest place to have a meal especially if someone wishes no further transportation.
I would strongly like to clarify that there is absolutely no relation between the restaurant owners and ourselves and that we obviously bear no responsibility for the taste of the meals served, or the prices they charge. We also never had any complains before that should have been taken under consideration.
Finally a bill of 17euro for 2 main courses (with cover charge and bread) is under no circumstances a rip-off.
