Went for a meal today, it was ‘fab’. My husband had lasagna and I had BBQ ribs, well my ribs was the best I’ve ever had [ I’ve been to Texas twice but the ribs today were a lot better].my husband enjoyed his lasagna that much he took a take away one home with him, we cant wait to go back again.

We called in for a drink whilst staying at the Sandy cove hotel , there were 11 of us and 3 dogs and we were all made very welcome and the staff couldn't do enough for us, we only had a few nibbles as we were booked to eat at the hotel but the food looked amazing . The pub does b&b and we will certainly be returning for an overnight stay.
Over all a beautifully refurbished pub that's definitely worth a visit .

We have been here a few times since it was refurbished and have never been dissapointed. The pub itself has been done out beautifully and there is ample parking and outside space. The menu is varied and reasonable, as a vegetarian there is often only a couple of options on menu's in North Devon but here there is ample choice. Food is quick to arrive and freshly cooked and everything we've sampled over the last few visits has been excellent. Fantastic selection of drinks. Staff very knowledgable and welcoming, dogs welcome as well (treats included!). Certainly one the best pubs in this area of North Devon.

Stopped here for lunch and had a fabulous meal. The staff were polite and helpful, and the cost of the meal with drinks was very reasonable.

Went here for a meal with the family. Food was ok. They kept mucking up the order, bringing the wrong food, then bringing it back not cooked properly then bringing it back again still not cooked through. Felt like a right moaner. Ended up leaving it and just eating the chips. Such a shame as there is so much potential in this place - the setting and building are lovely, just not enough attention to detail paid. There are much nicer (and cheaper) places to eat in Ilfracombe.
