We loved our stay here. The campsite has every amenity. It is clean and the owners are very friendly. My kids went fishing with help from the owners and caught 8 trout. They cleaned it for us, and even gave us suggestions on how to cook it on the Fire.

We went fishing twice during our stay. The fishing was fun. I was in the mood for trout so what better way to get a trout than fishing it yourself. The staff will help you clean your fish if needed.
I took the trout put it on foil put lemon and orange wedges. Sealed it and threw it on the BBQ. It came out so good.
Thanks for a great time.

We booked into the Chalet at Ben's Lake for a Thursday - Sunday stay over the Canada Day weekend. The Chalet had everything we needed for the weekend stay (the master bedroom for the parents, a loft bedroom with a double bed for one child and a pullout sofa in the living area for the second child). It's an A frame building that isn't insulated (got a little warm in the day time when it was 30 degrees but we weren't inside during the day, and it cooled off in the evening - the owners provided three fans for air movement).

The kitchen had a bar fridge, two burner stove, sink and a coffee maker. All the dishes and utensils were provided. There is a propane BBQ on the deck.

It's rustic and the kids enjoyed it. As rustic as it was, it came with cable tv and internet service.

The owners were attentive and brought fresh towels throughout the stay and told us to see them if we needed anything.

The kids rented fishing poles and caught two fish that weighed in around 5 lbs. The
owners dressed the fish for us and bagged them up.

There is a fire pit in the yard for sitting around in the evening.

I would recommend staying in the Chalet if you want to enjoy some time with the kids without a lot of traffic running through the site or rows of campers jammed together (it is a campground but the campers are spread out and in the woods).

A little while ago, I wanted to surprise my fiancee with an unannounced getaway. A friend told me about a campground with a Swiss style chalet for rent. It boasted a fantastic view of the lake, along with a very cool loft bedroom, accessible with a ladder only! I jumped at the opportunity, and phoned the campground. Thelma (Pebbles) Mcneill answered the phone, and in a very expedient and efficient manner booked me in for a night. Upon arrival, The premises were even better than promised! Cozy, comfy, everything the lady of the house was looking for. The next morning, after a hearty breakfast, we took a rowboat out on the glass smooth lake, and did a little trolling for some of Ben's leviathan -sized rainbow: (Up to 16lbs). We weren't disappointed. I brought to net, no less than 10 trout, all over 5 lbs! A couple were close to 8 lbs. Wow, what a spot. The season runs from May 1st to Oct 1st. Tons of space, quiet, restful and as aforementioned, the largest , angriest rainbow trout to be found. The fishery is a managed single barbless hook, catch and release only. Ben's is definitely a bucket list item, if you have any sort of penchant for flyfishing.
