We stayed in one of the cabins with ensuite. They're not fancy - but we'd gathered that before we got there. But they're clean and perfectly comfortable. We walked over to the pub for tea and a few drinks. The place is something quite different and quirky and most definitely well worth a visit. The meals are first class.

Room Tip: We had a basic cabin with ensuite but we heard the next level up are a newer and really nice

Well this place is about as remote as it gets. Quirky, to be sure. Old rooms - perhaps a little dilapidated but clean and functional none the less. We even had a green tree frog in the toilet! We only stayed overnight. Pub meals were surprisingly good!!!

In the middle of nowhere, but touristy, with ready Outback charm. Well worth stopping for the night. Leave you knickers or bra hanging at the bar or pin foreign currency to the wall. A few locals stop in so has nice authentic feel. Good pub meals and nice accomodation

The pub itself is great - really unique with a great atmosphere and a good feed. I would not recommend staying here though. The room we stayed at was $145 a night and you could not pay me to stay there again it was so bad! The room was infested with mosquitoes that bit us all night along with spiders in every corner and an abundance of flies. The bed placement was inside a wardrobe and positioned so that everyone could see in the window as the blinds didn't fully cover the window. I had to put up a towel to cover the gap so that people could not see in whilst we were sleeping. The air-conditioner was held up by duct tape and barely worked. We had instructions on the wall for an espresso coffee machine but no machine to use - just a kettle. There was a hole in the wall right next to our bed. The bathroom was almost un-usable and we did not shower here in fear that we would be more dirty if we did use the shower. Paint was peeling from the ceiling and everything was incredibly dated. The towels were not clean, nor were the sheets and we could not sleep due to a feral cat scratching at our door all night. After not being able to sleep all night we left this place as soon as we could - but the memories still remain!

We stopped on the way up to Darwin, could have stayed longer. The new cabins have everything you need, clean and in good condition. The pub staff and food are great. A huge collection of "gifted" souvenirs. Small pool, all good. Well worth a stop or stop-over.

Room Tip: They have a few new cabins, but all rooms looked OK
