Three of us (two teenagers) hired kayaks - wide bottomed and stable - and paddled through the network of creeks for about three hours. Such a beautiful thing to do, the whole atmosphere filled with bird life and silence. I could even see the teenagers unwinding amid the beauty of nature. Very reasonable price, Ruth prepared us very well, she is very personable, and I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Nothing is too much trouble for Ruth and Jim. There were only 3 of us and we arrived a bit later than anticipated but Ruth still took us out and we have an absolutely lovely paddle watching the sun set. Thanks Ruth.

A brilliant company to explore the Murray River with. Very knowledgable of the local water ways (Jim helped us to plan a route for our trip including giving us a map and advice on places to see), very helpful when booking our trip (the day we were originally going to go had rubbish weather forecast and so they contacted us to give us a weather update - this allowed us to postpone our trip for a better day). Equipment was safe and well looked after and we even received a quick paddling lesson to make it easy for us when we were out on the water.
They are also located right by the water making it easy to just jump in the canoe and start exploring. Also right next to the entrance for all the lagoons and creeks making it more interesting than working against the water traffic on the main river way.
Overall a brilliant experience and a great day exploring all the creeks and lagoons. Loved it and would definitely recommend.

Really glad you had such a great day David. We have just spent a week paddling through creeks, lagoons and the river with a couple of groups and the scenery and wildlife was also brilliant.

regards
Jim

Our host was genuine and very helpful. He discussed our experience and then equipped us with the essentials, sunblock, maps, dry packs and even toilet paper should the need arise. The day was perfect sunshine and no breeze, we glided stealthily through he backwaters. We sighted 7 kangaroos, a myriad of birds including a large kookaburra. We even got up close to 2 emus who had wandered down for a drink. Gliding past house boats the patrons or locals were quite friendly. Well signed along the roadside. Very affordable rates. Wish we had arrived before lunch instead of after, we enjoyed it so much, the time went to quickly. A debriefing discussion revealed that the hosts would pick up or drop off at points along the river. A paddle to the Brewery ( a very long way) will be on our future agenda and will take them up on the pick up offer!!
