This tour was with Adams Pinnacle, they are excellent & had a very knowledgeable tour guide. We started @ 0700 & were back by 1900 hrs. The Beagle Bay community was the first stop to see the Sacred Heart church & have morning tea. Then on to the One Arm Point aboriginal community. Interesting to see the old missionary church with a paperbark roof and to hear the history of the community.
The next stop was the Cygnet Bay Pearl farms which had a interesting history on how it was started.. Then a tour of the farm and how it seeds, looked after, and harvested the cultured pearls, & info on how pearls are graded. A oyster then harvested, opened, to see the pearl that had been seeded 2 years before. There was also lunch included in this tour, a very tasty meal of barramundi, or a choice of chicken. Than to the beach, another 30minute ride, for afternoon tea and a swim.

Travelling to Cape Leveque requires a 4WD vehicle to negotiate the 100kms of sandy and corrugated section of the 200km drive. Some of the 'big' car hire companies will not allow travel on unsealed road, but we hired a 4WD from a local company Broome Broome, so that we could do this trip. And it was certainly worthwhile. Rugged coastline on the west side of the Cape with an amazing deep teal blue sea, and sandy beaches on the east. In addition there is the historic lighthouse. The information centre at Kooljaman is comprehensive and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed lunch at the café - a burger each that were very tasty - and serves so large that neither of us were able to finish! In addition to our destination visit to Cape Leveque, we were also able to include in trip visits to both Beagle Bay (Sacred Heart Church),and Cygnet Bay pearl farm. A long and very enjoyable day.

Kooljaman, stunningly beautiful!
These wonderful terrestrial like red sand dunes meet sparking white sands and are surrounded with Bright Clear turquoise Blue ocean. Could have spent the entire day on this beach exploring every angle of its beauty.

stayed 2 nights in both the Family & Deluxe tents, both were fantastic, next visit would be happy with just the family tent. Yes its expensive for camping but its an experience like to other, you feel you have the place to yourself, its a beautiful intriguing place, staff are great, restaurant food was marvellous, road to CLVeque was terrible 90+ k of sand but worth every kilometre. We shall return.

Stayed at Gnylmarung camping ground which is on the road to Middle Lagoon. This place is paradise! Run by Alphonse and Delmar in a very low key fashion. Only twenty unpowered sites so never really busy. Facilities basic, gold coin donation for the washing machine. Basic showers and some flushing toilets, some drop loos. Rustic beach shower is a great addition. Beach is absolutely stunning and you're right on top of it. Couldn't rate it more highly, well worth the trip!
