Description: Torre Sangiovanni offers an intimate and welcoming restaurant where Rosary will delight you with her own recipes from her home region. Italian fusion cuisine? Perhaps, but most importantly a feast of flavours from Umbria with a twist from northern Italy. Rosary and her "little, big kitchen" prepare home made jams and preserves served with cheese, lip-smacking toppings for bruschetta, typical umbrian cheese bread or olives and walnut loaves, pickled vegetables and, last but not least, the home made Lemon, Orange or Walnut liquors. Everything is minute maid and served in the two cozy dining rooms or, when in season, in the terraced garden. All ingredients are local and represent the excellent food tradition of Umbria. The wine list is equally carefully populated with many local and national winemakers. The decor, with tables and 19th century paintings, the copper and brass antiques and the old Deruta ceramics confer to the two dining rooms a refined and intimate character. During the summer months, our guest can dine "al fresco". The outdoors terraced patio, overlooking the garden, provides the perfect set for a romantic dinner for two.

Twelve of us arrived without a reservation for lunch and the kind staff went above and beyond to take care of us. There were no other guests and, because we had arrived without reservation, we had to wait a few minutes for them to open up. The service was amazing, and the food excellent. They took great care of us in a situation where they didn't need to do anything at all.

The small terrace is ideal for a relaxed and delicious lunch served by sweet and solicitous staff. The peace and quiet of this lovely location is matched by delicious food and wine at reasonable prices. Although the prices are mid-range the food is excellent value for money and we thoroughly recommend this delightful venue.

The setting is a paradise,so peaceful and quiet, you can eat in the small garden.. the waitress is very kind and helpful,as the owner. The food is superb: we had a big antipasto with salumi, bruschette, cheeses, then two first courses with truffle. Nothing else to say, just hope we can come back soon!!! Ps: they have also a big parking, that was an important point!!

Recommended by our host, who also reserved us an great table in advance with Rosary who greeted us with a warm smile on arrival. The setting is spectacular and we ate in the beautiful gardens outside against the walls of the old fortress. Service was attentive and never rushed. And the food was amazing. Everything freshly prepared, lovingly presented and tasted perfect. House white was also very pleasant. Come with an appetite as you will have plenty to taste. Highly recommend this to anyone who is close to Todi, but feels like a little paradise on its own. You will be well looked after.

The ambiance and overall experience makes you return. The steak dish was stunning and made me want to savor every bite. We ate dinner there twice which was accolade enough when there are so many places to eat in the area.
